Study On The Role Of Traditional Culture In Rural Governance

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that China’s agricultural civilization has a long and profound history,which is the root of China’s traditional culture in the eighth collective study session of the political bureau of the 19^thcentral committee.In the new era,China is attaching more and more importance to the protection,inheritance and development of traditional culture.As an endogenous product in the countryside,traditional culture is passed down from generation to generation in towns and villages and the recognition among the villagers is high.Especially the family rule,ancestral culture and the village rule civil contract and so on have the irreplaceable function in the grass-roots level management,which can alleviate rural social contradictions,promote social development in rural areas and maintain social stability in rural areas.This study is based on the rural governance theory.This study combines the theory with practice,applies various of researching methods comprehensively,such as literature research method,empirical research method and so on.chooses the traditional culture and cultural governance and other basic concept as the breakthrough point to research Lukou Town,which is a typical town of little economy but heavy culture in China.This paper consists of six chapters.The first chapter is about the research background,significance and the research status at home and abroad also clarify the research content,technical route,methods and innovation points.The second chapter summarizes the concept and characteristics of traditional culture and rural governance,and explains the related theories of traditional culture and rural governance.The third chapter analyzes the historical resources of the traditional culture of the town through field investigation.The fourth chapter makes a systematic interpretation of the causes of the limitations of traditional culture in the governance of the town.The fifth chapter puts forward the specific suggestions of the role of traditional culture in rural governance.The sixth chapter summarizes the research conclusions and deficiencies,and puts forward the research prospects.Through in-depth field investigation in every village of Jiaokou Town,on the basis of finding out the cultural and historical resources of Jiaokou Town,taking the traditional culture as the carrier,we should fully tap the village culture of Jiaokou town to cultivate rich talents,family rules and family instructions to restrain the villagers’behavior,mirror and spur the descendants of honest government culture,and carry forward the craftsmanship spirit of traditional tin art;and through cases to explain the specific role of traditional culture in rural governance In the course of the study,the limitations of traditional culture on rural governance were discussed,and the reasons for the limitations were analyzed.Furthermore,the paper puts forward some constructive countermeasures,such as establishing and improving the supervision mechanism,protecting the traditional culture,cultivating the villagers’consciousness,inheriting the traditional culture,giving full play to the role of the government,optimizing the traditional culture,strengthening the media propaganda,carrying forward the traditional culture and so on.It aims to provide a series of feasible suggestions for better playing the role of the traditional culture in the rural governance and promoting the traditional culture in the rural governance provides intellectual support.
