| Nowadays, both China and foreign countries are trying to tap the potential of information and communication technology(ICT)in promoting educational equity, improving the educational system and the quality of education as well as promoting knowledge sharing. However, domestic research is insufficient on how to make better use of ICT to improve the effectiveness of learning and teaching;whereas it is worthwhile for China to learn from India, who has accumulated abundant experience in this field and mastered the proprietary technology. This report is based on the E-C Translation of ICT Policies for Primary Education and Different Initiatives Taken in India, telling that how ICT can be used for developing a framework that can be useful in implementing an education program in India.Through the analysis of translation process and representative cases, this report explores two aspects in translation projects of educational science and technology text:how to ensure the quality and progress of translation through preparation before translation and procedure management;and how to adopt applicable translation techniques and strategies based on the text types of different parts to achieve the accuracy and readability of the translation.Under the guidance of Text Typology Theory, this report explores the translation techniques and strategies:conversion of words, sentence ingredients and passive structure, adoption of translation techniques such as addition, omission, repetition, and introduction of sequencing and inversion based on the time sequence or logical relationship of English sentences.Consequently, the author expounds the difficulties encountered in this translation practice and makes a reflection of the translation task.As the report reveals,a translator has to accurately reproduce its connotation, style and ideas of writer of the source text(ST)by clarifying all aspects of the translation project and comprehending the translation background and function.Under the guidance of Text Typology Theory, the translation methods and strategies should be applied rationally so as to make the target text(TT)fluent, readable and consistent with the original style. |
