The Research On Tourism Theatre

As the core of tourism knowledge system,it is very important to study tourist experience and find out the differences and relations between tourists’ experience and daily life.The performance theory provides a new research perspective for revealing the formation mechanism of tourists’ experience by introducing drama terms,which has been paid more and more attention by tourism scholars.This study selects tourism performance as the research theme and takes Qianhu Miao Village as the case to analyze the elements of ethnic village theater and tourists’performance.First of all,this paper has carried on the quite complete literature summary to the present existing research result.From the development and connotation of performance theory to the connotation of tourism performance and then to why tourists can be regarded as performers,this paper makes a corresponding review.Then,based on the existing research,this paper summarizes the structural elements of tourism theater,including the discussion on stage scenery and props,script arrangement,interaction between tourists and members of the drama class and other contents.In addition,the author also reviews the researches related to tourists’performances.At present,the existing researches mainly discuss the performance styles of tourists.Secondly,the author takes Qianhu Miao Village as a case study and makes a qualitative analysis of online travel notes to discuss the theater elements and performance styles of rural tourists in Qianhu Miao Village,which is an ethnic village theater.In this study,50 online travel notes about Qianhu Miao Village were coded step by step,and the performance styles and characteristics of rural tourists in Qianhu Miao Village were obtained,as well as the composition of the members of the drama class and the influence of the daily life world on the performance of tourists.Based on the above analysis,the basic theoretical framework of this study is constructed.The research results of this paper are as follows:(1)This study analyzes the stage setting and props arrangement of ethnic village theater from two perspectives.First of all,from the perspective of "authenticity" stage,discusses the folk village at the front of the stage and"background" set,the front desk set should have two characteristics,respectively is:①As far as possible,the arrangement of the scenery should show the ethnic cultural characteristics,and it is not necessary to highlight or enlarge some decorations with ethnic characteristics,but should pay attention to the details of the design and the coordination between the scenery and the overall environment;②The setting arrangement of the ethnic village theater should imitate the daily life scene of the residents in the tourist destination as far as possible,that is,it should be arranged like backstage.In addition,through text analysis,this study finds that there are two main points in the setting of "Middle Stage" in ethnic village theaters:①In the setting arrangement,we should display the ethnic culture symbol to the tourists in the limited space as far as possible,so that the tourists can understand the cultural symbol of the ethnic village quickly and simply in a short time ②When setting up the scenery,attention should be paid to the "distance from the performance".Secondly,from the perspective of "modernity",ethnic village theaters should pay attention to the setting arrangement of the rural atmosphere,and should pay attention to two principles,respectively:① should achieve a unified aesthetic style,to avoid the emergence of museumization,Disneyfication and other phenomena;②ethnic village theaters should be decorated with typical rural items as much as possible to create a primitive,simple,simple and relaxed style of rural life,so as to combat the busy and spiritual pressure brought by modern urban life.(2)In the aspect of the narrative structure and elements arrangement of the play,this paper holds that the narrative structure of the tourism play in the ethnic villages belongs to a linear structure,which mainly includes three parts:the preface,the connecting link,the climax and the open ending.In addition,we should pay attention to the design of three aspects in the elements’ arrangement and series connection of the play,they are:the planning of time,the arrangement of space,the conflict and suspense design of plot.(3)This paper combs and summarizes the performance styles of rural tourists,and abstracts seven performance styles of rural tourists,namely,ecclesiastic,the nostalgist,rangers,character actor,situational actor,carefree person and onlooker,and has carried on the elaboration to each kind of style characteristic.In addition,through the qualitative analysis of grounded theory,it is found that the world of daily life will also have an impact on tourists,which mainly includes five aspects:catalysis,inhibition,demonstration,comparison and psychological fetters.The author believes that in the process of tourism,the world of daily life is also subtly influencing the experience and feeling of tourists and regulating their performance behavior.(4)This paper summarizes three types of drama class members in ethnic village theaters,namely,residents of tourist destinations,tourism practitioners and other tourists,and discusses the role and influence of "stage dressing" of drama class members in ethnic village theaters from two aspects of "appearance" and "manners".In addition,according to the active division of the interaction between tourists and members of the drama class,this paper summarizes four types of interaction states,namely,completely passive interaction,basic acceptance interaction,formal interaction and creative interaction.Among them,the interactive results of creating interaction include two aspects,namely,two-way viewing and emotional infection.In a word,through the qualitative research methods such as generic analysis and grounded theory,this paper analyzes the elements of ethnic village theater and the rural tourists,and finally obtains the above-mentioned results,and takes"performance" as the starting point,it provides some solutions to the problems of"village weakening" in the process of planning,development and marketing of tourism destination.In addition,the present study examines the tourism experience of rural tourists from the perspective of performance,there are still some problems and further discussion space,in the future study can be combined with semiotics theory or intertextuality theory,thus realizes to this proposition further enrichment.
