As a master of Chinese classical novels,according to statistics,a dream of Red Mansions involves more than 290 medical knowledge,more than 50000 words,161 medical terms,114 cases,including 13 cases of traditional Chinese medicine,45 prescriptions,125 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine and 3 kinds of Western medicine.Thus,a dream of Red Mansions not only has research value in classical medicine,but also has literary significance in disease writing.The first chapter traces the origin of disease writing in Chinese classical literature and combs the development of disease writing in previous works.Then,based on the analysis of the versions of a dream of Red Mansions,the reasons for the selection of the versions are clarified.Then,it divides the disease writing in a dream of Red Mansions in the form of tables,showing the overall distribution of diseases in a dream of Red Mansions.Finally,the difficult diseases in a dream of Red Mansions are selected,combined with the research results of previous generations of scholars,to make a correct judgment of each disease.The second chapter focuses on the disease writing in a dream of Red Mansions from the perspective of narratology.From three aspects of narrative structure,narrative time and narrative perspective,this paper selects typical examples to analyze the narrative skills of a dream of Red Mansions.On the one hand,as the flesh and bone of the text,it adds the fullness of the article;on the other hand,as the backbone of the text,it forms the context of the text.As an important part of the novel,disease writing is an important element in the natural narration of the novel.In addition,the author also discusses the transcendence of the traditional narrative techniques in a dream of Red Mansions,and explores the unique narrative characteristics of disease writing.The third chapter of the paper closely follows the previous text,starting from the details of the micro text,constructs the three dimensions of disease writing in a dream of Red Mansions.The idea of the unity of man and nature influences the internal text structure of the novel,which is in agreement with the theme of the novel.Cao Xueqin takes the characters in the novel as the center,radiates the whole world of Red Mansions through the conflicts between the inner world and the external world of the characters,and constructs the text structure of the novel.In this chapter,the author discusses the connection between disease writing and natural season,living environment and life itself,and tries to analyze the spirit of harmony between man and nature embodied in the disease writing in a dream of Red Mansions.The fourth chapter explores the social metaphorical meaning and poetic implication of disease writing.Disease writing is a powerful means to shape characters and a key element to support the plot.Disease can be a symbol of identity and status,and also a special manifestation of character,image and inner discourse.People’s attitude towards disease reflects the existence of individuals,others and society.With the rise and fall of Jia family,the significance of disease writing is no longer limited to serving the role itself.The author endows disease writing with more profound meaning.It is no longer limited to the description of disease itself,but pays more attention to the social significance and aesthetic value of disease.The first section analyzes the author’s critical attitude towards social chronic diseases revealed in his disease writing.The second section analyzes from the perspective of women’s morbid state.Under the feudal patriarchal system,women’s living space was squeezed and their attitude to illness changed.In the third section,in view of the poetic charm of a dream of Red Mansions,the author analyzes the poetic beauty of diseases from the perspective of disease writing in a dream of Red Mansions.
