The Lady Pattern On Export Porcelain In Ming And Qing Dynasties

In the Ming and Qing Dynasties,due to the rise of secular culture,the image of lady separated from the paintings and became a common decorative pattern,which was widely used in handicrafts.Among them,porcelain is an important carrier of lady patterns.The exquisite and various lady patterns of porcelain are not only popular in China,but also abroad.In addition to aesthetic value,it also has high cultural value.Under the influence of feudalism,the lady patterns have a special cultural connotation and reflect the gender inequality from one angle.On the surface,the lady patterns in Ming and Qing Dynasties describe the daily life of ancient women.In fact,it is also a true reflection of social thoughts,customs and etiquette,and national system.However,the distance between China and the West blocks the transmission of information,which makes the west very strange to Chinese culture.Therefore,in the process of appreciating the export porcelain,Westerners ignored the cultural of the lady patterns,resulting in different aesthetic standards from the East and influencing the creation of the lady patterns of export porcelain in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Because of this,through the export of porcelain,we can find the cultural and artistic exchanges between China and foreign countries hidden in the lady patterns.The lady patterns of export porcelain in Ming and Qing dynasties can be divided into traditional patterns and exotic patterns.Traditional patterns refer to the Chinese local patterns that are not affected by foreign influences,including the theme of lady visits a garden,lady plays with children,opera stories and so on.Exotic patterns refer to the integration of Western elements on the basis of traditional patterns,such as Western characters,props and ornaments,painting techniques and so on.From the visual effect,the two kinds of patterns are very different,but both are from the hands of Chinese porcelain craftsman,so the exotic lady patterns are still accord with the regular pattern of Chinese art creation.In Chinese art,there are a lot of modularization.The main reason for this phenomenon is that art creators often use the method of "breaking up and reorganizing" some classic decorative motifs to break up the common decorative element and recombine them into new pictures.However,Chinese porcelain craftsmen transplanted Western elements into traditional patterns with habitual design thinking,which made great changes in the content and form of export porcelain lady patterns.This paper will take the lady patterns as the breakthrough point,and use the interdisciplinary research method to analyze that export porcelain in Ming and Qing dynasties of the formation reasons,artistic characteristics and decorative art exchanges between China and foreign countries reflected in the decorative patterns of export porcelain.
