In the context of the rapid economic growth of China and the friendly development of diplomatic relations,Chinese language teaching in southern Myanmar is now steadily developing,and various Chinese teaching institutions are in the ascendant.Problems arising from historical reasons and social policies are in the process of development of Chinese teaching in southern Myanmar.It has gradually emerged in China,analyzing the specific problems and causes of Chinese teaching in southern Myanmar,and proposing targeted Chinese teaching strategies,which is the basis for promoting the development of Chinese teaching in various schools,regions and the entire country.The author selects ELBC Confucius Classroom as an example to study Chinese teaching in southern Myanmar,and organizes the contents from the following parts: Chinese teaching in southern Myanmar,Chinese teachers,teaching materials,students,Chinese teaching problems,and general teaching of Oriental Confucius Classroom.After surveying the general situation of Chinese teaching in Confucius Classrooms in Southern Myanmar and the East,we have an overall grasp of the teaching situation in Myanmar as a whole,and summarized the differences in Chinese teaching in southern and northern Myanmar.The nature of teaching presents two distinct first language teaching and second language teaching.Form,the main cause is the composition of social members and the historical development process.Through field investigations,interviews,reading literature,etc.,the author conducts research on the historical development of Chinese teaching in southern Myanmar according to the three stages of beginning,interruption,and development,and introduces the current situation of Chinese teaching in southern Myanmar.Through the curriculum setting of the ELBC Confucius Classroom,the teaching staff is strengthened.After investigating and researching some parts such as teaching materials resources,management methods,etc.,the existing problems in Chinese teaching in southern Myanmar are sorted out,which are mainly concentrated in six aspects,such as social policy,students,teachers,classroom teaching,teaching management,and teaching materials issues.In terms of social policy,the acceptance of Chinese teaching is not high,the degree of recognition of academic qualifications is low,the Confucius Institute is absent,the students’ low learning motivation and heavy daily learning tasks lead to the loss of senior students,the age gap of the teaching staff is obvious,the number is insufficient,and the quality is uneven Uneven,insufficient classroom teaching preparation,lack of hardware,single methods,chaotic classroom management,loose teaching management,lack of a unified teaching syllabus,incorrect distinction of subject nature,mixed textbook versions,lack of timeliness,pertinence,and interest.The author has carried out detailed overview description,data sorting,analysis and research on various issues,by sorting out questionnaires,conversation records with experts,scholars and Chinese school leaders,and information in references,the author extracts effective information for sorting and thinking.Combining the actual situation,put forward feasible suggestions on the problems in various aspects of Chinese teaching in southern Myanmar represented by the Eastern Confucius Classroom,which is also the main purpose of this thesis research.On the basis of avoiding socially sensitive issues,establish a unified teaching syllabus,open a variety of courses to teach flexibly,optimize the environment,pay attention to the learning needs of students,increase the number of teachers,unify academic requirements,cultivate scientific research capabilities,and improve the construction of localized teaching materials schedule,improve teaching management,learn advanced teaching methods,etc.to promote the further development of Chinese teaching in southern Myanmar. |
