This article collects 47 Sui and Tang dynasty tombs that have been scientifically excavated in Luoyang since 2006,and combines the previous excavations to study the shape and burial customs of Sui and Tang dynasty tombs in Luoyang.For the shape of Sui and Tang tombs in Luoyang area,it can further improve the framework and supplementary explanation.At the same time,it analyzes the distribution and characteristics of Sui and Tang tombs around Luoyang City.The full text is divided into five chapters to discuss.Chapter One first defines the scope of time and space to be studied in this article.Then,according to the order of the chronological tombs,an overview of the excavation in Luoyang area is introduced,and the relevant research results are summarized,and then the research methods and main ideas are introduced.Chapter Two makes a typological analysis of Sui and Tang dynasty graves in Luoyang area.The typological classification is carried out from the two aspects of tomb shape and burial objects.The shape of the tombs can be divided into earth cave tombs,brick chamber tombs and the relatively rare monk body Tataji.Typical artifacts include tomb beasts,heavenly king warrior figurines,civil servant figurines,military officer figurines,female figurines,male figurines,tower pots,clay pots,porcelain pots,etc.Chapter Three is the stage research of Sui and Tang dynasty tombs in Luoyang area.Based on the second chapter,the Sui and Tang dynasty tombs in Luoyang area are divided into four phases according to the changes of tomb shapes and burial objects.The ages are roughly from Sui to early Tang,the prosperous Tang,the middle Tang,and the late Tang.Secondly,it discusses the shape of tombs in each period,the characteristics and evolution of funeral objects,and the adjustment and evolution of the combination of funeral objects in different periods.Chapter Four mainly discusses the related issues of Sui and Tang dynasty tombs in Luoyang area.According to the unearthed locations of the tombs,the characteristics and reasons of the distribution of the tombs of the Tang Dynasty around Luoyang City in the Sui and Tang Dynasties are sorted out and analyzed.With the widespread popularity of Xiang Tomb and the influence of people’s funeral concept of "things die as things live",tombs are mostly selected on Gaogang,on the banks of water sources,the southern suburbs of Luoyang City,the southern foot of Mount Mang,Xishan of Longmen,Yanshi The tombs at the confluence of the Yiluo River are more concentrated.Chapter Five is the conclusion.Through the research on the newly added chronological tombs,it fills up the previous deficiencies in the study of chronological tombs in Luoyang area,and further improves the staging of Sui and Tang tombs in Luoyang area.In the writing process,due to my limited ability,I lack in-depth research on details.
