Zhang Zai’s Theory Of Mind

As an important part of Neo-Confucianism in The Song and Ming dynasties,Zhang Zai’s thought of the heart has rich and profound connotation,which involves all aspects of moral philosophy,especially the thought of the heart represented by "empty qi phase namely",which makes it occupy an important position in the history of song and Ming’s ethical thoughts as well as Chinese philosophical thoughts.One is Zhang Zai’s thought of mind,which establishes the theoretical basis of ontological significance for Song and Ming’s theory of mind.Second,Zhang Zai’s view of "mind unity and disposition" clarified the subject-object relationship among the neo-Confucianism,sex and emotion;Three thoughts of Zhang Zai’s mind had a profound influence on confucists in the late Song and Ming dynasties.On the basis of previous studies,this paper continues to explore and try to build a complete system of Zhang Zai’s theory of mind.According to CAI Fanglu’s Theory of Mind in Neo-Confucianism of Song and Ming Dynasties,the theory of mind in Neo-Confucianism of Song and Ming Dynasties is a comprehensive philosophical system of speculation,which integrates ontology,epistemology and ethics,and also involves the theory of human nature and cultivation.Meng Peiyuan also held a similar view in his Chinese Theory of Mind: The ultimate purpose of The Chinese theory of mind is to explore the existence and value of human beings,which is mostly based on cognitive methods such as existential cognition and ontological cognition to reveal the spirit and consciousness of the subject.The theories of Chinese psychology are devoted to the study of the mission,value and ideal of human beings,as well as the nature and nature of human life.To some extent,they also cover a lot of psychological problems.Based on the previous scholars’ traditional definition of Song and Ming’s mind-nature theory,this paper intends to explore the characteristics of Zhang Zai’s mind-nature thought from five aspects,including theoretical origin,basic framework,logical approach,time expansion and cultivation state.First of all,the author coordinates,on the theory of Zhang Zai abstains article points the various opinions and traditional Confucianism,Buddhism,Taoism three thought theory origin between,found that Zhang Zai’s theory of mind thoughts will pick the three parts of active content,its basic theory,respectively from the pre-qin period,sui and tang dynasties,Buddhism and Confucianism Taoist cosmology,and the period of northern song dynasty buddhist abandon the phenomenon of Confucian ethics,forming the social foundation of Zhang Zai’s inwardness theory.Secondly,in order to analyze the basic connotation of Zhang Zai’s thought of heart nature,this paper re-establishes Zhang Zai’s thought system of heart nature on the basis of discussing Zhang Zai’s gasification thought of "Too emptiness is qi","harmony and qi,the name of sex" and "harmony and perception,the name of heart",etc.Again,Zhang Zai inwardness theory system to fully understand the logical approach,this paper expounds the of Zhang Zai "stories" and"virtue" of knowledge view,"the nature of temperament" and "heaven and earth" the dualistic theory,as well as the character "heart body with face of deep thinking,and that the three traits was laid Zhang Zai disposition theory thought the cause of the important position in the history of neo-confucianism and ideology.Fourth,to show characteristics of Zhang Zai contained in the disposition thought work,this paper introduces the theory of integrity,sincere heart and three kinds of time into the road,think of Zhang Zai through the"poor","ritual" to complete the process of the integrity of work,and by "since cheng Ming" and "Ming Cheng" differentiate between completed the connection between heaven and humanity,in the end by his "big heart"self-cultivation time reached the realm of and be in harmony of the universe.Fifth,based on the state culture part of Zhang Zai inwardness theory as the end,of Zhang Zai’s human nature thought into the accomplishment and depth of interpretation of "nature and humanity" realm thought,think of Zhang Zai in border cultivation is through the "extra-integrity-knowledge-to(day)"this ten percent holy path,communication,the unity of heaven and humanity,finally achieve harmony realm.Zhang Zai’s thoughts on the nature of mind had a profound influence on the development of Confucianism and neo-Confucianism in song and Ming dynasties.He is the founder of the Neo-Confucianism theory of Song and Ming Dynasties,the promoter of Confucian culture,and the propagator of Chinese cultural spirit,which is worth our continuous in-depth study,research and practice.
