As the economic globalization deepens and the society develops, the exchanges and cooperation among different regions and countries also increase, thus leading to a strong demand for professional translators.Under the circumstances,China established the Master of Translation and Interpreting(MTI)in 2007 to cultivate excellent translators and interpreters who can adapt to the changes of the times.Currently, most universities that offer the courses of MTI encourage their students to participate in internships for actual practice, further enhancing translation skills and professional qualities. As one of the MTI students in NEU,the author worked as a translation intern in Didi Chuxing International Business Department for three months(from July to September,2018),and experienced the real working state of a translator in the company.Based on the author’s internship experience, this report will combine with the translation cases and examples to comprehensively introduce the workflow of translation in DiDi,and share the author’s most valuable gains and reflections. The internship report is divided into five chapters:Chapter Ⅰ serves as the overview of the whole internship report,in which the internship company, internship duties, translation requirements, and internship content, etc.are all introduced in detail.Chapter Ⅱ introduces how the internship tasks are implemented. The content in this part involves many aspects such as CAT tools, translation procedures, problems the author meets with, and the solutions the author adopts.Chapter Ⅲ is generally example-oriented.Examples of legal texts, publicity texts and poems are selected, and new concepts of UX writing are combined to share the author’s translation strategies towards different types of texts as well as the gains and findings during the process.Besides, reflections of the workflow are also presented.Chapter Ⅳ lists some suggestions to both MTI learning and teaching according to the author’s personal experience in both school and company.Chapter Ⅴ is the conclusion of the whole internship report,in which the author not only points out the limitations of the report, but also looks forward to a bright future.
