China FAW Group Interpretation Internship Report

This article is an on-site interpretation internship report.From July to August 2019,the author worked as an consecutive interpreter at the Hong Qi Modeling Institute of China FAW Co.,Ltd.,mainly responsible for the daily escort and conference interpreting work of foreign experts.This internship report reviews the author's interpreting practice,reflects on the interpreting problems encountered at the interpretation site,and gives interpreting skills.The author encountered three prominent problems during the interpreting practice,namely the source language understanding problem,memory problem and expression problem.The main reasons for the above three interpretation problems are the lack of automobile English vocabulary,the bad short-term memory and the lack of automobile term expression ability.Through the second interpretation practice and self-assessment after the interpretation task,the author believes the above problems can be solved to a great extent through the application of interpreting skills,including effective communication,information reorganization and summary induction and interpretive theory.At the end of this internship report,there is a wealth of automotive English vocabulary,hoping to provide materials for other interns.At the same time,through analysis and summary of this internship report,the author aims to provide some reference for other people who are engaged in or are about to engage in interpretation in the automotive industry.
