Phonetics is not only the basic knowledge of learning and mastering English language,but also the basis of acquiring English language skills.The "New English Curriculum Standard for Primary Schools"(2011 edition)sets the phonetic learning goal of the fifth grade of primary school English as Level 2.Not only must be able to correctly read 26 English letters,word stress,sentence stress,continuous reading,etc.,but also master spelling Regular reading and spelling.It can be seen that English phonetics teaching in primary school is the focus of English language knowledge in senior primary school.This requires the use of effective teaching design and resources in primary school English phonetics teaching from the comprehensive perspective of students’ learning interests,emotional attitudes and learning strategies to improve their phonetic classroom teaching effects.However,the previous research found that English pronunciation teaching in primary school is still unsatisfactory,mainly as follows:(1)Primary school English phonetics teaching with Mechanical follow-up.Mechanical,single,and repetitive following-up training not only fails to significantly improve students’ phonological knowledge,but also inhibits students’ motivation to learn phonological independently.(2)English phonetics teaching in primary schools ignores phonetic knowledge.The students’ phonological knowledge is not solid,they can neither read accurate words nor remember words,and gradually lose their interesting and enthusiasm in learning English.(3)Primary school pronunciation teaching lacks a systematic teaching material system.Although the existing textbooks have designed English phonetic training content,they only provide classroom students with teacher training.Students cannot study independently and train independently after class,and their learning efficiency is low.In view of this,previous studies have explored the feasibility of applying natural spelling to primary school English phonetics teaching.Although it has improved the effectiveness of primary school English phonetics teaching,due to the lack of reasonable phonetic teaching content and design,the effect of primary school English phonetics teaching has not been improved significantly.Therefore,this research intends to explore the effectiveness of spelling and spelling teaching in the fifth grade of primary school based on the Natural Spelling APP to assist elementary school English pronunciation,and to improve the efficiency of English pronunciation teaching in the fifth grade of primary of primary school.the subjects of this study were 34 students in two classes of Grade 5 in M City *Primary School.Following the voluntary principle,select class(2)as the experimental class and class(1)as the control class.A combination of Natural Spelling APP phonics in the experimental class and a traditional phonic design in the control class.In the control class,the previous traditional phonetic teaching design is used for teaching.And also need to control irrelevant variables.First,by comparing and analyzing the results of listening and speaking test before and after the experiment of the two classes,the researcher discusses whether the mixed teaching design of Natural Spelling APP can effectively improve the speech knowledge ability of the students in the fifth grade of elementary school.The questionnaire survey results are used to explore whether the mixed teaching design in and out of the phonetic class of the Natural Spelling APP can effectively improve the autonomous learning ability and interest of the fifth grade students in English phonetics.The experiment was conducted from September 10,2019 to January 10,2020,during which time it included spelling tests and questionnaires survey before and after the experiment.After the experiment,the results of the spelling test showed that the students’ spelling and spelling ability of Natural spelling APP Improved significantly after the teaching of mixed teaching design in primary school English pronunciation class.The results of the student questionnaire show that the mixed teaching design of the phonetic class of the Natural Spelling APP effectively improves the initiative,participation and enthusiasm of primary school students in English phonetic learning,improves their satisfaction with English phonetic teaching,and cultivates them to learn pronunciation independently Ability.In view of the experimental results,previous findings and related theories,the researchers summarized as follows:(1)The mixed teaching design of the phonetic class of the Natural Spelling APP can effectively improve the phonetic ability of students in the fifth grade of elementary school.(2)Hybrid teaching design in Natural Spelling APP can effectively stimulate students’ interest in learning English and enhance their enthusiasm for autonomous learning of English phonetics.In conclusion,the natural Spelling APP mixed teaching design during and after class flexibly and systematically guides fifth grade students to participate in and experience real English pronunciation practice activities,cultivates the foundation of English language,and promotes the participation of fifth grade students in voice training.It also extends the phonetic teaching classroom and has certain theoretical and practical significance for primary school English teaching.The lack of theoretical level,information technology and teaching ability,there are still some shortcomings in the mixed teaching design of the phonetic class of the Natural Spelling APP,and the tests for improving the phonetic knowledge such as stress,accent and continuous reading are not comprehensive.In the subsequent research work,the grade and number of research objects should be expanded,curriculum resources should be optimized,and the effect and efficiency of Natural Spelling APP-assisted primary school English phonetics teaching should be improved.
