Journey to the West is not only a classical chapter novel in China,but also a masterpiece of China’s god-demon novel.A total of chapters back to the catalogue100 back,first described is the Monkey King noisy sky was pressed under the five lines of mountains,and then tells about the origin of Tang Monk’s scriptures,and then describes four people who have gone through eighty-one difficulties and eventually return to the East..The one hundred chapter is a highly condensed summary of the whole novel.From the chapter catalogue,we can clearly see the characters and story plots of the whole novel.The characters of journey to the West are very complicated.Tang Seng mentoring four,There are also miraculous gods like Buddha and Guanyin Bodhisattva.There are also monster like bull devil and white bone essence.In addition,there are such as black Wind Mountain,Lotus Cave,daughter country and other places nouns are also endless.The storyline is even more colourful,with the well-known Story Bridge section:True and False Monkey King,white Bone Essence Three plays Tang Sanzang,Flames mountain three borrow banana fan and so on.These names and place nouns appearing in the chapter catalogue are the most important part in the process of Uighur translation.Besides,the translation of sentence patterns and the translation of rhetorical devices are also worthy of research and discussion.Therefore,this paper takes the Chapter Catalogue of Journey to the West as the research object,and takes the Chapter Catalogue of the Uighur Version of Journey to the West as the research example.It lists the translation examples of Uighur Version from three aspects: vocabulary,grammar and rhetoric,and explores the basic translation methods of Uighur Version Chapter Catalogue through sorting out and summarizing.This thesis consists of seven chapters.In the first chapter,the purpose and significance of the study are elaborated,and the current research situation of the translation and chapter translation of journey to the west is summarized,and the concept of the chapter catalogue is explained.The second chapter,from three aspects of vocabulary,syntax and rhetoric to summarize the characteristics of the chapters of the journey to the West.The third chapter,lists the Uighur translation examples of the three categories of appellation,place and magic treasures in the vocabulary of the translation;By analyzing and summarizing,In vocabulary translation,methods are literal translation,liberal translation,transliteration,transliteration and literal translation,and omission of translation.The fourth chapter lists the translation examples of the two categories of quantity phrase and declarative sentence patternsin the translated version of the syntax;By analyzing and summarizing,In syntactic translation,methods are literal translation,liberal translation,supplementary translation and replacement translation.The fifth chapter,lists the examples of translation of the three versions of the phonetic rhetoric,borrowing,and dual in the rhetoric of the translation;By analyzing and summarizing,In rhetoric translation,methods are literal translation,liberal translation and omission of translation.The sixth chapter,through the analysis and induction of the corpus;The chapter enumerates the analysis and discussion of individual translation examples which are worthy of discussion in the Uighur versions of Journey to the West.The seventh chapter summarizes the whole article.
