The concept of life is one of the important connotations of Taoist philosophy and also an important part of Chinese traditional thought.The philosophy of life in the early Quanzhen Dao is the life philosophy formed during the period of Wang Chongyang and Quanzhen Qizi,which pushed Taoism philosophy to a new height and profoundly influenced the development of Chinese culture.In theory,it inherited Taoist thought about Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi,traditional Taoist philosophy of life,meridian gasification theory of ancient medicine,Confucian ethics thought and Zen Buddhism mind-nature theory.According to these theories,it developed a unique theory of internal alchemy cultivation.Based on this,this paper expounds the possibility of " being all true and immortal" and the necessity of life cultivation.This article gives a basic overview of the establishment and early development of quanzhen Dao,and then discusses the basic content of the life concept of quanzhen religion in the early stage from the four aspects of the origin of life,the basic composition of life,the practice of maintaining life,and the ideal state of life."the theory of Dao formation " and "the theory of gasification" answered the question of " how does life come?" The " outlook on form and spirit" and " outlook on body" explain the external manifestation of life.Kung fu theory of life’s cultivation is formed by such cultivation paths as knowing the mind and seeing the nature,giving priority to the nature and then to the life,cleaning up and laboring,accumulating work and accumulating practice.The carefree realm of immortals and the complete truth of immortality have explained the ultimate end-result of life.Quanzhen religion attempts to raise self-life to the level of integration with Tao through the theory of life training and kung fu,and to find a fulcrum for life in a fragile reality.Based on the overall grasp of the basic content of Quanzhen religion’s view of life,this paper summarizes two major characteristics of Quanzhen religion’s view of life.One is to advocate the harmony of Confucianism,Buddhism,Taoism and Buddhism,which makes this new Taoism exhibit the characteristics of " non-Confucianism,non-Taoism and non-interpretation".The other is to attach importance to real life and social care.The second is to pay attention to real life and social care.At the theoretical,practical and educational levels,it reflects the spirit of actively joing life and helping the poor.From the perspective of Taoist philosophy,the core of the theory of total truth and Taoism cultivation and the essence of the belief in immortality not only provide theoretical support for Taoist philosophy of life,but also provide inspiration for solving philosophical problems such as the ultimate concern of life and the settlement of life.At the same time,we also recognize that early Quanzhen Taoist life philosophy belongs to religious philosophy,which has reasonable elements,but it alsohas its drawbacks,so it is necessary to dialectically treat this philosophical question. |
