| Many tourist attractions in China possess unique cultural connotations,thus attracting numerous foreigners to come to China for a visit.Qinglong Ancient Temple is just one of such attractions with special features of a religious culture.Therefore,the writer translates Brief Introduction to Qinglong Ancient Temple and analyses the version in an effort to effectively advertise this resort so that more foreign tourists may be magnetized to it,thus promoting the economy in Qingpu District.This thesis focuses on the key and difficult points and provides practical translation methods based on the skopos theory.It analyzes the key and difficult translation points,such as the translation of Buddhist expressions,dynasties and antithetical couplets.Besides,it proves the translation methods and techniques for translation of complex sentences,four-character structures and elliptical sentences.Translation methods include literal translation,free translation,transliteration,and amplification method etc.Finally,the author summarizes the main findings and mentions some aspects to be improved.This report is intended to enlighten those who are inexperienced in translating and enables them to be familiar with practical translation methods and techniques,in order to improve their translation ability related to tourism translation. |
