A Research Of Modal Words Based On Zhanmapo Lahu Dialect

This thesis takes the modal words of Lahu language in Zhanmapo village as the research object,and reveals the essential attributes and characteristics of modal words in Lahu language from the perspectives of their meaning,usage,position,semantic features,syllable features,function words’ multifunction and function words’ grammaticalization.The full text is divided into five parts.Chapter One: Introduction.First,giving a general introduction to the geographical location of Zhan Ma Po and the usage of language.Second,it reviews the research status of modal particles in Lahu language and the research status of modal particles in other languages of the Sino-Tibetan language family.Finally,it introduces the topic of this article.Meaning,source of corpus and research method of thesis.Chapter Two:Modal particle system of Zhan Ma Po Lahu dialect.First,define the modal particles in Lahu language based on the predecessors,and then classify them according to the distribution position of the modal particles in the sentence and the modal meaning expressed,and finally briefly introduce the system of the modal particles in Zhan Ma Po Lahu.And its characteristics.Chapter Three:The Meaning and Usage of Modal Particles in Zhan Ma Po Lahu Language.According to the position of mood words in sentences,they can be divided into mood words and final mood words;2.From the phonological point of view,the mood words of Lahu language have tone;3.From the syllable point of view,they can be divided into monosyllabic mood words,disyllabic mood words and three-syllable mood words,disyllabic mood words and three-syllable mood words can also be called continuous mood words.The phenomenon of the use of mood words is very common in Lahu language,and the mood expressed after the use is more complicated than that of single use.From the usage point of view,the mood words of the Lahu language are rich in semantics and diverse in usage.Some mood words can express different mood meanings by vowel tongue position or tone value.Chapter Four: Mainly the formation of several common modal particles in Zhan Ma Po Lahu.First,it first describes the multi-functional characteristics of?o31,l?31 and ve33 three commonly used mood words,and analyzes the grammaticalization process of mood words by using the theory of grammaticalization and "three planes ",and preliminarily concludes that the grammaticalization of notional words is the main way to form mood words.The grammaticalization of notional words is common in Lahu language and has great research value.Chapter Five:Concluding remarks,first a summary of the whole thesis,and then put forward the deficiencies of this thesis and the need for further research space.In summary,this thesis conducts a more comprehensive,three-dimensional and dynamic investigation on the meaning,usage and formation process of modal particles in Zhanmapolahu language.Through the analysis and investigation of modal particles in Lahu language,it is not only helpful for us to understand the modal particles in Lahu language,but also has certain reference value for the research of modal particles in Chinese and other minority languages.
