With the continuous communication between China and other countries,loanwords gradually entered our daily life.At present,loanwords have become an important part of the Chinese vocabulary system,and there are many researches on loanwords,but quantitative studies are scarce.This article takes the 5328 English-originated loanwords included in the "Xinhua Loanwords Dictionary" as the research object,and quantifies them from the three aspects of the translation methods,the degree of sinicization,and the inclusion situation.And make summary recommendations about the Chinese vocabulary teaching for native English speakers.First of all,collecting the 5328 English-originated loanwords included in the "Xinhua Loanwords Dictionary" to form an "English-originated Loanwords Database".The content of each entry includes five aspects,including the main entry of the modern Chinese translation word(the variant form is the secondary entry),the original English words,translation methods,variant forms,the number of corpus,and numbered each entry.Then,on the basis of previous studies of loanwords,sort out the classification of translation methods for English-originated loanwords.Use fuzzy judgment method to judge the degree of sinicization of each type of translation methods,rank the translation methods according to the degree of sinicization.And use the method of English-Chinese contrast to judge,classify and count all the words in "English-originated Loanwords Database".Then collect the number of corpus in the BCC corpus for each English-originated loanwords,and perform statistics and analysis on the number of corpus to find the relationship between the degree of sinicization of English-originated loanwords and their inclusion situation.Then compare and analyze the similarities and differences between the English-originated loanwords included in the "Xinhua Loanwords Dictionary" and the "Modern Chinese Dictionary",and from the perspective of the number of corpus,it compares the usage of the words included in the "Xinhua Loanwords Dictionary" and the "Modern Chinese Dictionary".Finally,make summary recommendations about the Chinese vocabulary teaching for native English speakers,based on the translation methods of English-originated loanwords,the degree of sinicization,and the inclusion situation.
