Narrative Strategy Of Hoshiyulin

As one of the representative Anecdote-style Novels,HoShiYuLin inherits the Anecdote-style Novels in the past and initiates the new novels of the later generation.With the unique creation of He Liangjun(the author of the novel),HoShiYuLin possess a unique narrative outlook and stylistic features,these features make the novel has a high literary value and significance in the history of the development of the fiction of Anecdote-style Novels.Focusing on narrative research,the research scope of this paper combines the content and form of the novel.As a whole,this paper consists of five parts,which are the introduction to the thesis;the creation research;the narrative structure research;and the narrative form research and the influence research.Specifically,The introduction illustrates the reason for the topic selection and the main research methods of the paper,also introduces the research status of HoShiYuLin.The first chapter of the paper explore the reasons for the publication of HoShiYuLin through the restoration of the Ming Dynasty social background and the creator’s creative mentality.This chapter also collates the preface and comments made by ancient scholars,to show when HoShiYuLin was written and the edition it was published with historical materials.The second and third chapters use the narrative theory of ancient Chinese novels,starting with narrative forms of HoShiYuLin,such as the narrative frame,theme structure,narrative perspective,narrative method,narrative language,and so on.so as to explain the specific narrative features of HoShiYuLin.The last chapter discusses the literary influence of HoShiYuLin,explaining that it has a profound influence on the creation of the Anecdote-style Novels in the aspects of material selection,subject content,narrative characteristics,structure system and language style.
