| Digital cinema is a high-tech product with the development of computer technology.The development of digital technology influenced and changed the form of entertainment in the 19 th century and promoted the rapid rise of movies.At the same time,digital technology has brought threats to movies and put movies in crisis.At this time,some scholars have put forward the conclusion that movies are about to end,and the final conclusions of movies have triggered movie researchers to speculate on the future possibilities of movies.This article analyzes the identity crisis brought by digital film to traditional films from the semiotics of modern film theory and media archaeology,which has triggered a re-discussion of the essence of film.From the perspective of semiotics,the images in traditional movies correspond in reality.Therefore,in the semiotics of cinema,indicativeness is regarded as the essential feature of traditional movies.As a new form of film,digital film differs from traditional film in essence.The emergence of digital cinema has promoted the rapid rise of films,and has also led to the identity crisis of traditional film films.Film theorists regard the huge changes in stereo,wide-screen,etc.brought by digital technology,as well as the indicative disappearance of films.End.Indicative disappearance in digital film is a fact,but indicative is not the only concept that defines the essence of film,and it cannot explain the end of film.From the perspective of media archaeology,the process of film development is not continuous but broken.In this process,films of different forms appear,and films of different forms have different essences,which shows that the essence of film is not fixed and unfixed.Change,but can be modified continuously with the change of technology and position over time.Digital cinema is not the final form of movies,and newer forms of cinema will appear after digital cinema. |
