The new curriculum reform based on “core literacy” requires classroom teaching to fully reflect the leading role of teachers and the dominant position of students.Taking students’ independence,cooperation,and inquiry learning as the main body,it can achieve the harmonious unity of the leading role of teachers and the main role of students and realize the high efficiency of classroom teaching.This study takes the classroom management of English teachers in R School as the research object,and uses the methods of classroom observation and teachers’ interviews to investigate and study the current situation of English classroom management in R School.The main problems found in the classroom management of English teachers in R school are as follow: teachers’ inadequate preparation before class;unclear classroom management goals;unreasonable classroom scheduling;insufficient procedural evaluation;teachers’ inadequate methods and experience in dealing with students’ problems of behavior and so on.Integrating classroom observation and interview results,this study attributes the problems in English teachers’ classroom management of R school.This study explores strategies for optimizing English classroom management from three perspectives : teachers,students and schools.For teachers,English teachers should carefully design classroom teaching and scientifically plan classroom time,pay attention to process evaluation and construct diversified evaluation methods,enhance teachers’ ability to use information technology and classroom management in-depth integration,enhance their ability to deal with students’ problems of behaviors,promote home-school cooperation and prevent and resolve student problems of behavior.At student level,teachers should guide students to learn self-management,cultivate students’ self-management ability,actively implement group mutual aid learning and optimize group cooperative learning mode.At the same time,schools should improve the forms of classroom supervision and improve classroom efficiency,optimize teacher evaluation and assessment systems to promote fairness and justice and create a good education environment so that teachers can devote themselves to teaching.All these strategies aim to provide references for R school English classroom management reform and improving of classroom efficiency. |
