Research On Traditional Mongolian Saddle Design And Its Innovative

The Mongolian people are known as a "horse-backed people",and their nomadic way of production and living conditions have shaped their close relationship with horses.The Mongols love and cherish their horses,and their tack is particularly well decorated.The Mongolian traditional engraved patterns of the saddle;(hereinafter referred to as ‘patterns of the saddle’)are an important part of the saddle equipment,showing both practical and aesthetic functions.With the exquisite craftsmanship,rich patterns,diverse shapes and types saddle flowers reflect the delicate craftsmanship and unique aesthetic of the Mongolian people,and are of high research value.Regarding Mongolian traditional engraved patterns of the saddle as the research object,this thesis initially analyses the Mongolian nomadic culture,the origin of the saddle,the historical development of the saddle and the overview of saddle accessories;Secondly,it explores the basic form,decoration rules,design patterns and colour usage of the Mongolian traditional engraved patterns of the saddle;Finally,it summarizes and elaborates the cultural connotations embodied in the Mongolian traditional engraved patterns of the saddle.Based on the study and analysis of the typical engraved patterns of the saddle,and taking into account the aesthetics and needs of modern people,the main focus is on the innovative design of traditional engraved patterns of the saddle.These researches helps to deepen the understanding of the distinctive Mongolian saddle horse culture.
