Supplements And Corrections To The Interpretation Of Epitaphs In Tang Xiantong Period(861-874)

There are a huge number of epitaphs in the Tang Dynasty,and they have high research value in the fields of history,archaeology,and philology.In recent years,the academic circles have paid extensive attention to the epitaphs of the Tang Dynasty,and the research results in various fields have been quite fruitful.The interpretation of epitaphs is a basic and important work.Only by correctly interpreting the texts on the epitaphs can relevant research be better carried out.This article takes Tang Xiantong’s epitaph as the research object,based on previous research results,and mainly conducts research from the following four aspects:(1)From the perspective of interpretation and correction,supplements and corrects the omissions and deficiencies in the interpretation of the Tang Xiantong’s epitaph.(2)From the perspective of textual research and interpretation,research and explain the difficult characters in the epitaphs of Tang Xiantong period.(3)From the perspective of lexicology,the allusion words in the epitaph are studied and explained.(4)Collect and sort out the variant characters in the epitaphs of the Tang Xiantong period and compile the "Table of variants of the epitaphs of the Tang Xiantong period".In terms of structure,this article is divided into four parts.The first chapter,"Introduction",explains the research objects,related research results,research ideas and methods of this article.The second chapter "Correction and Supplement of the Interpretation of Epitaphs in Tang Xiantong Reign" is divided into four parts: "Missing Entries and Corrections","Mistaken Entries and Corrections","Lack of Corrections and Corrections",and "Punctuation Corrections".The third chapter "Examination and Explanation of Difficult Characters in Epitaphs of Tang Xiantong Period" is divided into two parts: "Examination of Unexplained Characters" and "Examination of Misinterpreted Characters".The fourth chapter "The textual research and explanation of allusions in epitaphs during the Tang Xiantong period" is divided into three parts: "events","words" and "names".The last is the "conclusion",summarizing the content of this article,summarizing the achievements and shortcomings of this article.
