Research On The First Period Characters In Jiaguwen Heji Bubian

This paper takes the first period characters in Jiaguwen Heji Bubian as the object ofstudy, and makes fundamental collation and research to it in philology. Its contents includethe collation of font, the statistics of characters’ quantity and frequency, the analysis of theglyph structure, etc. The article contains seven parts, the preface, the analysis of characters’quantity, the analysis of characters’ frequency, the glyph structures and configuration mode,the explanation of difficult characters, the conclusion and the appendix. The preface brieflypresents the related content of Bubian, sums up the research results predecessor hadalready obtained, and proposes the research meaning, object and method. The second andthird chapters respectively count characters’ quantity and frequency, and then makes asummary according to the related statistical data to totally understand the useage situationof characters. The fourth chapter classifies the Yishizi（已识字）of the first periodcharacters in Jiaguwen Heji Bubian on the basis of Xianxing（象形）, Zhish（i指事）, Huiyi（会意）and Xingsheng（形声）four glyph structures, and reveals the inner configurationmode and dynamic in the light of specific distribution and the diachronic change of theeach structure. The explanation of difficult characters chiefly absorbs the scholars’ resultsin explanation of characters, and collects main points for the remaining controversialcharacters. The conclusion gathers up the previous researchs’ related data and results. Theappendix is the foundation and emphasis, includes characters form and charactersfrequency form, both having Yishizi（已识字）form, Kelidingzi（可隶定字）form,Bukelidingzi（不可隶定字）form the three sub-forms.
