Video teaching is an important method of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and video materials are its important teaching resources and language learning approaches.Therefore,the study of Chinese teaching video materials has played an increasingly essential role in the field of Chinese international education.With the arrival of the era of "We Media",the short video platform has developed rapidly,leading to a fact that the application research of "We Media" short video materials for Chinese teaching has gradually emerged.Based on the Chinese classroom teaching in South Korea,starting from the application of short videos in Chinese teaching through "We Media",taking Tik Tok as the source of corpus,and combining the method of questionnaire survey,data induction and other effective methods,the research aims to study the application of short videos in Chinese teaching through "We Media" in Chinese classroom teaching in South Korea.The questionnaire survey was conducted on Chinese learners and teachers in South Korea to analyze their attitudes towards the application of short video materials of "We Media" in Chinese teaching in South Korean classroom teaching,whose purpose is to prove its feasibility.Data induction is used to sort out and summarize the existing short videos of Chinese teaching on Tik Tok platform,which can be divided into direct teaching,scene performance,life experience and interview introduction in terms of creation form.From what the author mentioned above,we can obviously draw a conclusion that the characteristics of Chinese teaching short video materials and four drawbacks.The research has found that “We Media” Chinese teaching short video materials are suitable for all aspects of Chinese classroom teaching in South Korea,which can not only stimulate students’ interest in learning,adjust the classroom atmosphere,but also improve students’ ability of understanding and memory.However,due to the cultural differences between China and South Korea,the special cooperative teaching mode and the distinctive characteristics of Korean students,there are still limitations in the application of short video teaching in Chinese: such as improper selection of video materials,unclear division of labor between Chinese and Korean teachers in class,lack of classroom interaction,and more entertainment than learning.Considering what are pointed out above,this study puts forward some suggestions to improve the relevant problems.First of all,the selection principles of standardization,pertinence and interest should be clarified.What’s more,there are totally three recommendations that are of great use for the difficultes: Combine teaching theory and enrich teaching means;Clear class division,and strengthen classroom interaction;Emphasize the relationship between primary and secondary,and pay attention to play efficiency three application suggestions.Additionally,the author gets inspiration from the following three aspects: constructing video material sharing platforms,improving teachers’ video production abilities,and using "We Media" to spread and promote traditional Chinese culture.It is hoped that what the author has proposed will be of great help to handle the problem of lack of video materials in Chinese teaching and provide new ideas for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
