As a kind of online multimedia resources,short videos of cultural content have shown an explosive growth trend and are loved by many foreign audiences,becoming a new way of Chinese cultural dissemination.Short videos of cultural content have the characteristics of short,flat and fast,and at the same time have a cultural character,which can not be ignored in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.At the same time,Samchaiwitaedsuksa School,Thailand where the author teaches has complete teaching facilities.Most students love and accept the introduction of short cultural videos into Chinese teaching as a foreign language.However,how to apply short videos of cultural content to teaching Chinese as a foreign language and how to use them can achieve good teaching effects.This paper takes Samcai Public School in Samchaiwitaedsuksa School,Thailand as an example and applies short videos of cultural content as teaching resources in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Based on the questionnaire survey and interview results of Thai teachers and Thai students,as well as the comparison of the author’s own practice in Samchaiwitaedsuksa School,Thailand,this paper discusses and studies the influence of using or not using short videos with cultural content on teaching Chinese as a foreign language.According to the result of practice,relevant teaching suggestions are put forward.Combined with predecessors’ research basis,combined with the author’s teaching contrast practice.The paper firstly investigates and analyzes the current situation of the application of short cultural content videos in Chinese teaching in Thailand.The author mainly investigates Thai teachers and some students in schools around Bangkok,and carries out a detailed investigation on the application of short cultural content videos in teaching.This paper analyzes the difficulties and advantages of applying short videos with cultural content in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Secondly,the author adopts comparative research to conduct comparative teaching between the experimental group and the control group.By analyzing students’ classroom performance and overall scores,the author discusses the specific methods and teaching effects of cultural content short videos applied to teaching.Thirdly,based on my own teaching experience,the author puts forward the principles and suggestions for the application of cultural content short videos in TCSL.The author also puts forward his own views on the short video platform of cultural content,which is popular among teachers.
