This paper takes the “YINGLUO” of Bodhisattva statues from the Northern Qi Period as the main research object, which involves the overall modeling style and components of the“YINGLUO”.Based on the collection of Bodhisattva statues in Shandong,Shanxi,Hebei and the Northern of Henan,as well as the first-hand picture materials obtained from the field investigation in Jinan,Qingzhou,Zhucheng,Linqu and Boxing, this paper makes a comprehensive observation of more than 340 Bodhisattva statues of the Northern Qi Period from the perspective of archeological typology and iconology. This paper compares and analyzes the differences of “YINGLUO” in different places in the Northern Qi Period and the possible sources and meanings of some components. This paper is mainly divided into four parts. The first part is the first three chapters, which are the classification and carding of the overall modeling styles and components of the“YINGLUO”of Bodhisattva in Shandong,Hebei and the Northern of Henan,Shanxi,as well as the overview of Buddhist statues in the three regions. The second part is the fourth chapter, which is a comparative study of the above three regions. The third part is the fifth chapter, which discusses the origin and development of the “YINGLUO”of Bodhisattva from the Northern Qi Dynasty. It looks vertically at the relationship between the Northern Qi Period and the Northern Wei Dynasty, the Eastern Wei Dynasty, the Northern Zhou Period and the Sui Dynasty, and horizontally observes the Southern Dynasties and India’s “YINGLUO”of Bodhisattva. The fourth part is the sixth chapter, which is to explore the possible sources and meanings of some components of the “YINGLUO”of Bodhisattva. In this paper,it is divided into three categories: necklaces, chest ornaments and the longest ones hanging on the whole body.Among them, there are three main types of the longest girth long “YINGLUO”,namely, type a-slant-drape,type b-x-shaped,and type c-superimposed form of X and Y.In addition, there are also a few “YINGLUO” in the shape of "human" and grid, but they are almost only found in Shandong Province. As for the components connecting the“YINGLUO”,there are parts that are influenced by Indian society and reflect Chinese traditional culture. On the one hand, they reflected the grand occasion of cultural exchange at that time,on the other hand, they also reflected people’s ideological needs and cognition of Buddhism.
