This paper takes the erhu song "Jackdaws plays with Water" as the research object,which was originally the traditional string poetry and music of Chaozhou,with fresh style and unique charm.It is often called "mother of Chaozhou string poetry".It is the most poetic one of the ten major pieces of Chaozhou string Poetry "soft set".Originally,it was performed by a small music team,and then it was transplanted and adapted into guzheng solo and erhu solo by many composers or performers Sonata,etc.This paper will choose min Huifen and Liu Yusheng’s erhu song "Jackdaws plays with Water" as the research object.These two versions are mainly adapted from different aspects such as mode,tonality,emotion and performance form.Through the comparative analysis of the composers,music ontology analysis and related thinking of the two works,the author thinks that Min Huifen’s version of "Jackdaws plays with Water" is more suitable for the performance of northern performers in the whole music processing,while Liu Yusheng’s version is more conducive to the expression of Southern performers.I will combine my experience in learning and actual performance,hoping to better interpret these two versions of "Jackdaws plays with Water",so that more erhu players can more thoroughly understand these two different versions of "Jackdaws plays with Water",and also let more music lovers feel the unique charm of Chaozhou string poetry.
