| The most basic part in language learning is vocabulary learning,and vocabulary is a necessary element of language communication.The same applies to English language learning.According to the requirements of compulsory education English curriculum standards,Junior Middle school students need to learn to use about 1600 words.However,for most Junior Middle school students,it is very difficult for them to memorize vocabulary because they do not understand their perceptual learning style and vocabulary learning strategies.It is even more difficult for them to master vocabulary.This paper selected 100 students in two classes of junior middle school in Yibin City,Sichuan Province as the sample object.The main research questions are as follows: First,what are the characteristics of the perceptual learning style of Junior Middle school students? Secondly,what are the characteristics of the vocabulary learning strategies of Junior Middle school students? Finally,what is the correlation between the perceived learning style of Junior Middle school students and English vocabulary learning strategies? The tools of this survey are two questionnaires,namely the Perceptual Learning Style and Vocabulary Learning Strategy Questionnaire.By sending out questionnaires to sample subjects and collecting and processing questionnaire data,using SPSS 25.0 to analyze the data,the following conclusions are obtained: Learning of Junior Middle school students.The overall level of style is relatively high,and the average perceptual learning style is the auditory learning style,which is the most popular learning style among students.Several other learning styles are secondary learning styles Junior Middle school students;as far as the overall use of learning strategies is concerned: the vocabulary strategies used by Junior Middle school students are low and the overall level is not high.Among these strategies,the most frequently used is the cognitive strategy.Several other strategies,such as metacognitive strategies,social/emotional strategies,and resource strategies are rarely used.As far as the perceptual learning style and English vocabulary learning strategies of Junior Middle school students are concerned,there is a correlation between the two.The specific correlation is as follows.Perceived learning styles are significantly related to the following strategies: social and emotional strategies,metacognitive strategies,and cognitive strategies.Secondly,in addition to the personal style,the other several perceptual learning styles have a significant correlation with resource strategies.Therefore,the perceptual learning style of Junior Middle school students plays a role in promoting the mastery of vocabulary learning strategies. |
