| Incidents of car-hailing drivers violating the rights and interests of passengers,especially female passengers,are very sad.From the view of psychology,the process of passengers choosing car-hailing is actually a process of judging the trust of drivers based on various information.In order to avoid damaging their own interests due to credulity,people should use valuable information to make reasonable trust judgment.Research shows that credit information and face information are very valuable information for people to make trust judgments.Intuitive thinking is a way of thinking that processes information automatically,without conscious involvement.Research shows that intuitive thinking decision-making or judgment intuitive tasks are more effective,and decision-making or judgment analysis tasks are less effective.Hammond et al.think that intuitive tasks are characterized by visual presentation,subjective measurement,and the inability to integrate clues in the way of rules or operations.The analytical tasks is characterized by quantitative presentation,objective measurement,and the integration of clues by way of rules or operations.Thus,face information is more consistent with the characteristics of intuitive tasks,while credit information is more consistent with the characteristics of analytical tasks.Therefore,it can be inferred that intuitive thinking is the moderating variable of credit and face trustworthiness affecting the trust judgment effect.Based on this,the first purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of credit and face trustworthiness on women’s trust judgment and the moderating effect of intuitive thinking in the car-hailing scene.In addition,research shows that the processing of credit information is more likely to be an incremental process requiring rational analysis,while the processing of face information is a rapid and automated process.Therefore,it can be inferred that the processing process of credit information and face information is moderated by intuitive thinking.Based on this,the second purpose of this study is on the basis of the first experiment,using the eye movement technology to reflect women processing credit information and face information when making trust judgment,and try to use the differences of intuitive thinking of individual in the process of information processing to explain the differences in trust judgment.There are two experiments in this study.Experiment 1 adopted a mixed design of3(credit: high,medium and low)× 2(face trustworthiness: high and low)× 2(intuitive thinking: high and low).According to participants rating the materials of credit and face,credit was divided into three levels: high,medium and low,and face trustworthiness was divided into two levels: high and low.The high and low levels of intuitive thinking are distinguished by the experientiality scale of the REI-40.The dependent variable was the participants’ willingness to ride.Experiment 2 adopted a mixed design of 2(credit: high and low)× 2(face trustworthiness: high and low)×2(intuitive thinking: high and low).According to participants rating the materials of credit,which was divided into two levels: high and low.The differences of face trustworthiness and the measurement of intuitive thinking were the same as those in Experiment 1.The Eye Link Portable Duo eye tracking system record participants’ eye movements.The dependent variable were the participants’ willingness to ride and some eye movement indicators such as first fixation duration,fixation number(%).By analyzing the data,this study draws the following conclusions.In terms of credit:(1)In the car-hailing scene,women are more likely to trust car-hailing drivers with high credit.Compared with the low intuitive thinking group,the effect of credit on the trust judgment of women with high intuitive thinking is smaller.(2)When making trust judgments in the car-hailing scene,in the late stage of processing credit information,compared with the low intuitive thinking group,women with high intuitive thinking are more difficulty in distinguishing between high and low credit information.(3)Intuitive thinking can not predict the credit effect of trust judgment by the process of women’ processing of credit information or face information.In terms of face trustworthiness:(1)In the car-hailing scene,women are more likely to trust car-hailing drivers with high face trustworthiness.Compared with the low intuitive thinking group,the effect of face trustworthiness on the trust judgment of women with high intuitive thinking is greater.(2)When making trust judgments in the car-hailing scene,in the early stage of processing credit information,women with high intuitive thinking have a better effect on distinguishing face trustworthiness than women with low intuitive thinking.(3)Women with high intuitive thinking are not good at distinguishing between high and low credit information,which is one of the reasons why face trustworthiness has more influence on their trust judgement.In conclusion,in the car-hailing scene,credit and face trustworthiness affect women’ trust judgement,intuitive thinking plays a moderating role.Women with different levels of intuitive thinking have different processing processes of credit information and face information,which is one of the reasons why intuitive thinking moderates the effect of credit and face trustworthiness on trust judgement. |
