Trustworthiness is a set of belief in the other party that helps promote the will to trust.Researches on trustworthiness judgments of intuitive cues clearly shown that we quickly form trustworthiness trait inferences about objects when exposed to intuitive cues, such as face, voice, and such inferential judgments have a high degree of consistency across raters and maintain a more solid impression which is not easily to break.Current research on the development of face trustworthiness judgments has concluded that such trustworthiness judgments emerge at an early stage of life and influence subsequent trust behavior, but less research has been done on voice trustworthiness. So this study aims to expand the age developmental performance of trustworthiness judgments in the speech channel and its effect on trust behavior, and furthermore, enrich the study of speech trustworthiness judgments. This study consisted of two projects:Project 1 is about the age developmental characteristics of voice trustworthiness judgments and aimed to explore the ability and level of voice trustworthiness judgments in children and adolescents. And we tried to reveal the ability to distinguish between high and low levels of voice trustworthiness for different age groups, and furthermore,to characterize the age developmental trajectory of voice trustworthiness score levels for different age groups.Project II characterizes the development of the influence of voice credibility judgments on trust behaviour, associate with the project 1,the developmental characteristics of the influence of voice trustworthiness judgment on trust behavior were investigated by adding voice trustworthiness cues to the trust game context to explore the age developmental differences in the influence of voice trustworthiness cues on trust behavior of children and adolescents, which improved the applicability of the findings. The conclusion is as follows.(1)The ability to distinguish between reliable phonetic credibility has been developed in childhood, and 8-year-olds can already distinguish between high and low credibility phonetic stimuli as well as adults. But from childhood to adulthood, this phonetic credibility judgment continues to develop.(2)There are age and gender developmental differences in the level of voice trustworthiness scores;trustworthiness scores for children aged 8 to 10 years remain stable and low,for both boys and girls;trustworthiness scores for boys aged 10 to 15 years gradually increase, for girls aged 10 years remain low,and then increase for girls aged 12 to 15 years, and for adults aged 15 years decrease, for both males and females.(3)Children,adolescents,and adults alike are able to make trusting behavioral choices using high and low confidence cues to the fullest extent. They all trust high voice trust objects more than low voice trust objects.(4)Under different circumstances of the voice trustworthiness, the trust behavior of children, adolescents, and adults showed developmental differences in the phonetic trust cues, with the trust game investment of children aged 8 to 10 years being higher than that of individuals aged 10 to adulthood, and the trust game investment of children aged 8 to 10 years gradually increasing, and the trust game investment of individuals aged 10 to adulthood gradually increasing.
