Study On Artistic Characteristics Of Qinyuan Yangko Opera

As one of the various genres of Yangko opera in Shanxi Province,Qinyuan Yangko opera is derived from a folk tune and has experienced a long history.With the development of society,Qinyuan Yangko opera has undergone several evolutions and has a strong momentum of development in recent years.It has been highly valued by government sectors and included in the national intangible cultural heritage protection list in 2020.Through investigation and analysis,this paper objectively interpreted Qinyuan Yangko Opera’s development context,as well as the script’s artistic characteristics,musical characteristics,and vocal characteristics.It first summarized the development process of Qinyuan Yangko Opera,which is gradually evolved from the folk tune of impromptu singing;Secondly,based on the three Yangko operas of Surmount,Shanmei,and Xiao Erhei’s Marriage,it started with the Yangko opera noumenon,analyzed and interpreted the rich emotions and distinctive character characteristics contained in the script;Then,through the analysis of the music,it explored the styles of the Yangko tune used in the music material,and the ingenious design of the music image of the characters;Later,it analyzed the characters’ vocal characteristics in depth,studied their singing methods and the reference to other singing methods in the singing performance.Finally,based on the personal understanding and perception sublimated from the study,it put forward proposals for the future development of Qinyuan Yangko Opera.Through the study of this paper,the author expects to attract more scholars to explore and analyze Qinyuan Yangko Opera,so that it can bring forth new ideas from the viewpoints of researchers and flourish.
