| As a famous poet in the early Qing Dynasty,Shi Runzhang was known as "Seven Shis of Yantai" and "Seven Sons of Yantai" in the Southern and Northern Song Dynasties. His poems were pure and mellow, called "Xuancheng Style" at the time, and his writing was simple and quiet, which was quite influential in the literary world of the early Qing Dynasty. As a local official,he presided over and participated in the compilation of many local chronicles, and also wrote prefaces for many local chronicles. He has his own opinions on the knowledge and compilation of local chronicles.Starting from the literary standard, this article sorts out and analyzes the commonality of Shi Runzhang’s literature and local chronicles.Through the comparative study of the specific creation process and works of Shi Runzhang’s literature and local chronicles, the relationship between his literature and local chronicles is deeply explored. The full text is divided into three chapters:The first chapter discusses the background of the relationship between Shi Runzhang’s literature and local chronicles.Mainly from the four aspects of literary and historical traditions, the general situation of the revision of records in the early Qing Dynasty,Shi Runzhang’s revision and communication, and the intercommunication of Shi Runzhang’s literature and the concept of revision of records.First of all, from the literary classics "The Book of Poetry" and "The songs of Chua collection of poems",historical works "Historical records","Three Kingdoms",historical theories "Shitong" and "Wenshitongyi",we can know the tradition of "no distinction between literature and history" in ancient my country.Through the simple tracing of local chronicles and the understanding of the relationship between local chronicles and historiography by famous writers in the past dynasties since the Song Dynasty, the tradition of "integration of chronicles and history" is explained.Secondly, due to the support of the government in the early Qing Dynasty, the dictatorship of culture, and the reflection of scholars and scholars on the scholarship of the late Ming Dynasty, many scholars participated in the compilation of local chronicles. As a local official,Shi Runzhang was responsible for compiling local chronicles,as well as his practice as a literati.Third,Shi Runzhang’s compilation of local chronicles expanded his social and travel activities, which is often expressed in his literary works. Finally,in terms of the concept of literary creation and the concept of revising aspirations,Shi Runzhang advocated that both have the function of supplementing history. He believes that both the literary creation and the compilation of local chronicles are inseparable from the Guangzhi Confucian Classics and the experience of visiting. For literary creators and aspirants,we must pay attention to the cultivation of personality. From the historical and social background to Shi Runzhang’s personal life experience,he bridged the relationship between literature and local chronicles. The second chapter examines the local chronicles of Shi Runzhang’s literature. The local chronicle characteristics of Shi Runzhang’s literature are mainly viewed from the three styles of poetry, biography and travel notes.First,as an important part of Shi Runzhang’s literature, poetry has a strong historical narrative in content expression and art.Leap chapters write real history in poems and have the function of keeping history and documentary. At the same time, the narrative color of the poem is bright, and the narrative characteristics are outstanding. In addition, his poems also show distinctive regional characteristics.Second,Shi Runzhang abides by the compilation principles of local chronicles in his biographical writing. At the beginning of the biography, pay attention to the choice of the object of the biography. The objects of the biography are mostly small people and the locality is obvious, and the morality and talent of the biography are taken as an important basis, and the morality and virtue are emphasized. In the method of writing,it pays attention to the textual research of the characters and their deeds, and strives to verify the truthfulness and reason. This also coincides with Zhishu’s emphasis on authenticity. In addition, for the purpose of his biography,Shi Runzhang promotes righteousness and promotes morality and his own responsibility, which reflects the role of the characters in the local chronicles in compiling "to commend, persuade, and punish, and to enlighten." Third,Shi Runzhang’s travel notes also highlight local chronicles. In the text,it focuses on the textual research of the scenery visited. At the same time, pay attention to the historical record of the places visited, and make good use of allusions to write the characteristics of the local scenery. In the way of writing,I construct my travel notes according to the description of the local scenery in the chronicle. Therefore, from the above three aspects,we can see that Shi Runzhang blended his thoughts on ethics into his literary creation, which made his literary works have a strong local chronicle color. The third chapter explores the literary expression in Shi Runzhang’s compilation of local chronicles. It is mainly analyzed from the preface of the local chronicles and the texts of the records compiled by Shi Runzhang.First of all,Shi Runzhang has written prefaces for many local chronicles. The prefaces he wrote are not only the presentation of his ideas of revising his will, but also the exposition of his literary ideas. In the preface to the annals,he believes that the function of literature is to govern and educate. It combines the political function of literature with the governing function of local chronicles, and emphasizes the practical value of literature. As far as literary creation is concerned,he follows Si Maqian’s saying that he is "indignantly writing books",and believes that the writers are "haggard and unwilling",and only after hardships can they create profoundly thoughtful works. At the same time, the author is also required to be a virtuous person. In addition,in the preface,he also explained the fiction and style classification of literature.Secondly,Shi Runzhang also participated in the compilation of many local chronicles, and literature can also be seen in the contents of the local chronicles compiled by him.Whether it is in the local chronicles,or in the art and literature history,it shows Shi Runzhang’s concept of emphasizing text when compiling the local chronicles. At the same time, the local chronicles he compiled, especially when depicting scenery, have beautiful language and strong literary character. There are many contents related to local literature in the local chronicles, which preserve precious documents in order to enrich local literature and inherit local culture. In short, this article hopes that through the analysis of the relationship between Shi Runzhang’s literature and local chronicles,Shi Runzhang’s research space can be further expanded and the understanding of his literature and local chronicles can be enhanced. At the same time,I hope to provide a new perspective for the study of literature and local chronicles through the comparative study of literature and local chronicles. |
