Children’s literature translation works is an important part of children’s literary field.For the healthy development of children’s literature,scholars need to conduct deeper and extensive research on the translation of children’s literature.E.B.White,the author of Stuart Little;The Trumpet of the Swan;Charlotte’s Web,is praised as “the American greatest essayist and children’s literature writer in the 20 th century”.These three works are called Fairy Tale Trilogy.His Fairy Tale Trilogy is a literary classic loved by both children and adults.Charlotte’s Web alone has a circulation of more than 5million copies.Stuart Little depicts the wonderful adventures of the leading character----Stuart.Charlotte’s Web tells the innocent friendship between Spider Charlotte and Piggy Wilbur.The Trumpet of the Swan describes the growth story of Swan Louis in beautiful language.Rongrong,the translator of these three works,is a famous Chinese children’s literature writer and translator.He has been working for the healthy development of children’s literature during his lifetime.His translation works have not only won the favor of children readers,but also won the affirmation of translation scholars.Due to his outstanding contribution in the field of children’s literature translation,he won a translation award from the International Board on Books for Young People.(IBBY)From the perspective of “Children-Orientation”,the author has taken Ren Rongrong’s translation of E.B.White’s Fairy Tale Trilogy(Stuart Little;The Trumpet of the Swan;Charlotte’s Web)as the research object and analyzed its translation strategies and methods.“Children-Orientation” is generated from “Paidocentricism”.The pedagogical theory“Paidocentricism” originated in the United States and began to be introduced into China during the May 4th Movement in 1919.Lu Xun,Zhou Zuoren and other writers integrated“Paidocentricism” with Chinese literature and formed the “Children-Orientation”.The“Children-Orientation” has exerted a very important influence on the creation of modern Chinese children’s literature and the translation of foreign children’s literature works.The study has shown that,the “Children-Orientation” based on the “Paidocentricism”has guiding effect on the translation of children’s literary works.Because of the guiding role of “Children-Orientation”,the translator can choose appropriate translation strategies and methods.
