The Study Of Wu Jin County Chamber Of Commerce After Thesecond Sino-Japanese War(1945-1949)

After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War,the riddled local society in Wujin is in urgent need of relief.The Chamber of Commerce Organizing Committee initiated by the party and government organs in Wujin County actively reorganized and organized the original Chamber of Commerce,in order to set up the Chamber of Commerce in Wujin County as soon as possible,and then use its organizational strength to restore and develop the social economy.In this process,the Kuomintang local authorities either sent personnel to guide or placed personnel to take the opportunity to strengthen their control.During the three years from 1945 to 1949,with the gradual restoration of grass-roots social order and the relative strength of the Kuomintang regime,Wujin County Chamber of Commerce assisted the government in economic,social and political fields,trying to meet its needs and try to build a good political and business relationship.However,the Kuomintang authorities often failed to pay lip service to the demands of Wujin County Chamber of Commerce for granting industrial and commercial loans and completely exchanging counterfeit currency,and even further reduced the space for businessmen’s political activities,which inevitably dampened their enthusiasm for cooperation with the National Government.With the intensification of the civi1 war,the 1ocal military and political organs’ demands for Wujin businessmen have reached the point of killing chickens and taking eggs,and the Wujin County Chamber of Commerce has spared no effort to protect the businessmen.Under the double blow of the civil war and the harsh demands of the Kuomintang,the Wujin County Chamber of Commerce has been exhausted,and the establishment of a business group to exclusively guard the industrial and commercial circles has become a paper plan.Wujin County Chamber of Commerce,which was separated from the Kuomintang regime,finally moved to the CCP camp.
