Affected by the epidemic of COVID-19 in 2020,offline commerce in China was shocked and the circulation of medical and civilian materials was not smooth.E-commerce platform and operators played an important role in alleviating the epidemic and restoring economic and social order,in which Alibaba’s global direct purchase and distribution of JD.com fully reflected the advantages of e-commerce in solving social public problems in times of crisis.Within a few decades,e-commerce in China has developed rapidly with the emergence of e-commerce platforms which are closely related to our lives, such as Taobao,JD.com,Ali Express,YEATION.Nowadays,e-commerce has become an important driving force to promote the economic development of our country. The development of e-commerce is helpful to expand the scope and scale of commodity circulation, promote the development of new business types and new models of digital economy so as to promote the development of socialist market economy. The momentum of development is good,however,e-commerce in our country starts relatively late and is lack of effective supervision as well as the related laws are still not comprehensive, which restrict development of e-commerce,especially the development of cross-border e-commerce.Therefore,it is urgent to regulate the market.In2018,“Electronic Commerce Law of People’s Republic of China” was formally promulgated, and the relevant national legislative groups drafted and compiled the book “The Clause Interpretation of Electronic Commerce Law of People’s Republic of China”.The book makes a further legal interpretation of the clauses of Electronic Commerce Law.It creates favourable conditions for the popularization of Electronic Commerce Law among e-commerce practitioners. The author makes a study of the translation on the interpretation of the clauses of Electronic Commerce Law in the practice report. This type of text requires a higher professional level of the translator.Besides,it also needs the translator to fully understand the main points of legal text translation, interpret professional terminology and analyze sentence structure. In the process of translation, translation skills, translation methods and translation strategies are summarized in order to provide reference for legal text translation researchers. In this thesis, the third chapter of The Clause Interpretation of Electronic Commerce Law of People’s Republic of China, that is,the conclusion and performance of e-commerce contracts, which is selected as the translated text, accurately interprets the legal contents, and analyzes the legislative intent and purpose. Its contents involve Electronic Signature Law of People’s Republic of China,Civil Code of People’s Republic of China,Law of People’s Republic of China on Protecting Consumers’ Rights and Interests and so on.These relevant regulations are condusive to protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, standardize the behavior of e-commerce operators, regulate the e-commerce market, and promote the sustained and healthy development of e-commerce.This translation practice report is mainly composed of four parts. The first part gives a basic introduction to the translation task, including the background of the translation task, the purpose of translation and the description of the characteristics of the translated text. The second part describes the translation process, including pre-translation,while-translation and post-translation,with emphasis on the establishment of the corpus of translation in the while-translation.The third part carries on the case study under the guidance of Eugene Nida’s inverse translation theory, and divides the translation process into three modules: analysis, transformation and reorganization. In this part, the specific examples of translation are analyzed in detail. The fourth part is the translation summary, which mainly reflects on the translation process.
