| The Hu clan in Zhuangbu township,Huichang county was a well-known clan in Huichang county during the Ming and Qing dynasties,and was also an important clan with Yangming afterschool in southern Jiangxi.This paper uses the Hu family in Zhuangbu,Huichang as the research object,through the method of combining sociology and history,to explore the development context of the Hu family in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,focusing on the role and influence of Yangming Studies in the development of the Hu family,and Hu How to use the political and cultural resources brought by Yangming School to promote clan construction,and how to improve the status of clan in county society by participating in local social public affairs.The article mainly carried out research from the following three aspects:First of all,the origin and development of the Hu family are sorted out.This chapter puts the development of the Hu family in Zhuangbu into the historical background of Huichang County in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.The humanistic development of Huichang in the middle and late Ming Dynasty was deeply influenced by Yangming School.Hu’s development in Huichang has gone through four stages: relocation,early management,rise,and diversified development.From Jiajing to Wanli in the Ming Dynasty,Hu’s Hu Zhuangxi,Hu Yijian,and Hu Shujian became post-Yangming students through their tutoring under Yangming’s disciples,especially Hu Yijian and Hu Shujian who entered official positions successively and became well-known eunuchs.Therefore,the Hu family Leaped into a local noble family.In the Qing Dynasty,the Hu family entered a period of diversified development.The members of the family were either farming or studying,and the branches of the family continued to divide.Some of the members were officials who studied and became officials,and some members participated in the construction of culture and education,the compilation of county records and other county public affairs.Secondly,it explores the process of Hu’s clan building.The construction of Hu’s clan makes full use of the cultural capital brought by Yangming post-school.In the aspects of ancestral hall construction,genealogy compilation,family property purchase,family marriage,etc.,we strive to build ourselves into a local clan that inherits Yangming school.The creation of the Hu’s ancestral hall and sacrificial fields were presided over by the post-Yangming learners of Hu Yijian,and the first compilation of the genealogy was also carried out under the organization of the Hu Yijian.In the process of writing the genealogy documents,the Hu family is also trying to construct the post-Yangming identity and cultural image of the Hu family members.In addition,most of Hu’s marriage network in the middle and late Ming Dynasty was also establishing connections with Huichang local area and Yangming post-school in Yudu County.Finally,the situation of Hu’s participation in local social affairs is analyzed.From Jiajing to Wanli in the Ming Dynasty,the Hu family relied on the wealth accumulated over the years and the political and cultural resources brought by Yangming post-school to actively participate in the relevant public affairs of the local society,which deeply impressed the historical and cultural process of Huichang in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Traces of the Hu clan.Hu Zhuangxi established the "Zhuangxi Thatched Cottage",invited Yangming disciples to give lectures in Huichang,and Hu Qizhong established the Qianluo Study Room,and Hu Yijian entered the Xiangxian Temple,which promoted the development of Huichang culture and education.In addition,Hu Zhuangxi donated Yangming Temple to set up a school field to support scholars from all over the world,which promoted the spread of Yangming Studies in Ganzhou.Aiming at the increasingly extravagant local customs in Huichang,Hu Yijian advocated the implementation of the "Xiangjiang Small Treaty" to achieve the purpose of changing customs and promote the transformation of local social customs to achieve effective governance of the community.Hu Yijian’s "Xiangjiang Small Treaty" was supported by local officials and was implemented throughout the county,which had a profound impact on Huichang’s social customs. |
