Abstract/Summary:
Fuzziness is the inherent attribute of human thought and knowledge. It influences people’s expression and communication behaviour.Hedges,as the words that limit the blurred central word, have their own classification and meanings. From the perspective of semantics, the expression of Uyghur hedges in different semantic meanings is discussed in the new text, which is important not only for the detailed semantic analysis of hedges and the search for specific methods of translation of hedges. At the same time,it also has an important influence on the development of hedges and fuzzy semantics.Hedges’ research results so far have largely been based on pragmatic functions in this field, while most surveys of Hedges in the target language focus on expression. Therefore, this paper discusses the form of hedges of different semantic types,to provide some concrete examples for the translation of hedges. It contributes to the further development and research of hedge translations.Based on the definition and classification of hedges proposed by Mr Li qianju, starting with the location distribution and semantic expression of Chinese hedges,This paper discusses the corresponding expression of Chinese hedges in Uyghurs under different semantic classifications. To observe the corresponding expression of Chinese hedges in Uyghurian language. The complete text is divided into five parts:The first part mainly includes the basics of the selection of topics and the importance of research, then summarises the research on hedges, defines the concept of hedges and introduces the research ideas, methods, key points and difficulties, data sources, etc. The second part discusses the classification and use function of hedges according to location distribution and various semantic hedge forms. The third part deals with the expression of Chinese hedges in Uygur from the new text. The fourth part takes the corresponding expression of Uyghurs and Chinese hedges as an example to explore and analyse the expression of hedges among different semantic types. The fifth part summarises the research content and results of the entire text and presents its own views on the shortcomings and future development of research.
