As a guardian of traditional culture,Lu Yao,in the process of accepting Chinese traditional culture, cherishes and assimilates Confucian culture. His works convey a large number of elements of Confucian traditional culture. He reflects his own psychological structure of Confucian culture through novels. From "the perspective of cultural familiarity",this paper analyzes the causes of "Lu Yao’hot",and systematically explores the relationship between his works and Confucian cultural tradition. The paper includes six parts: introduction, four chapters and conclusion. The introduction firstly summarizes, classifies and summarizes the core elements of Confucian traditional culture, which are mainly divided into four parts: benevolence and righteousness, struggle, kindness and filial piety, and spirit of neutralization. The first chapter mainly analyzes the benevolence and justice morality of interpersonal relationships in Lu Yao’s novels, such as the dedication and waiting between men and women, the tolerance and justice between neighbors, the deep friendship between colleagues and classmates. This chapter also discusses the moral writing of the characters, such as the sense of responsibility and justice of rural young men in Northern Shaanxi, the fraternity and dedication of women’s group images, the sense of responsibility and justice of rural young men in Northern Shaanxi, the selflessness of the moral officials in their work to reflect the tradition of benevolence and justice in the Confucian culture. The second chapter mainly discusses the family ethics narrative in Lu Yao’s novels, such as father’s kindness and son’s filial piety, deep brotherhood, love between husband and wife, and caring for the old and supporting the young beyond the family, which reflects the profound connotation of benevolence and filial piety in Confucian cultural tradition and shows the charm of Confucian culture’s human relations and family affection. The third chapter mainly analyzes the struggle spirit in the Confucian cultural tradition, which includes the participation in social governance actively, striving to be stronger, hard work, newer give up,through the life experience of several typical rural young intellectuals in Lu Yao’s novels, such as Sun Shaoan,Sun Shaoping,Gao Jialin,Ma Jianqiang, who are dissatisfied with the current situation of life, eager for a new life, struggling with fate and suffering, which are close-up of their stubborn personality in their life struggle. The fourth chapter mainly discusses the artistic forms of classical poetry, dialect and folk songs, the plot of peace after twists and turns, the emotional tone without sadness and the balance of character tension in Lu Yao’s novels to reflect Lu Yao’s adherence to the traditional realism aesthetics-"the beauty of neutralization".Generally speaking,Lu Yao’s novels, with the background of Northern Shaanxi, are based on the description of the pursuit of a better life by young men and women in rural areas. It not only reveal the positive spiritual core advocated by the Confucian cultural tradition, but also embody the "beauty of neutralization" in the content and form of the Confucian cultural tradition, integrating and complementing the traditional Confucian culture with the modern Chinese culture, which is also one of the main reasons why Lu Yao’s novels have been popular for more than 30 years.
