Analysis Of Synonymous Manner Adverbs In Zuo Zhuan

Synonym discrimination has always been regarded as an important way of Chinese word meaning research.Based on the research of predecessors and contemporary scholars,this paper discriminates and studies the manner adverbs with synonymous relationship in Zuo Zhuan from the semantic level.It mainly involves the classification and construction of synonymous modal adverbs,their use in the text of Zuo Zhuan,the characteristics of word meaning and their differences in use.The main arguments are: manner adverbs in Zuo Zhuan can be divided into three categories according to semantic standards: mode,state and will attitude;Manner adverbs are derived from the emptiness of notional words,so the discrimination of synonymous manner adverbs can extract their semantic features based on the notional meaning;Glyph and etymology suggest the image features of words.The semantic features extracted by means of glyph and etymology analysis determine the different semantic emphases of synonyms in use.The article is mainly composed of the following parts:The introduction mainly introduces the research overview of synonym discrimination in ancient Chinese,the research overview of Zuo Zhuan,the research methods of this paper and the discrimination theory adopted,defines manner adverbs,links modal adverbs with synonymous relations in Zuo Zhuan,and defines the classification principles.According to the semantic standard,manner adverbs are divided into mode type,state type and will attitude type,and each type has a chapter.Under each chapter,manner adverbs with synonymous relationship are divided into groups,and each group of synonymous manner adverbs is discriminated and studied in sections.The discrimination ideas are as follows: 1.Textual research on the synonymous relationship of manner adverb members in each group to ensure the rationality of synonymous construction;2.Describe the use of each member word in Zuo Zhuan;3.Using the analysis of glyph and etymology to extract the semantic features of words,and combined with the use cases in Zuo Zhuan to further analyze the specific manner differences of each member.The conclusion summarizes the discrimination results of synonymous modal adverbs in Zuo Zhuan.The conclusion is that the semantic features obtained from the analysis of font shape and etymology determine the semantic differences of synonymous modal adverbs,which provides a reference for the discrimination and research of other function words.
