The Analysis And Singing Treatment On The Aria,I Am Unable To Go Forward Together,of The Opera,Chinese Orphan

The opera Chinese Orphan comes from a true historical story,a story that has been adapted into many forms and circulated both at home and abroad.The opera,composed by Lei Lei,written by Zou Jingzhi and directed by Chen Xiyi,was staged at the NCPA on June 23,2018.The opera is a classic tragedy that can embody the spirit of sacrificing life for righteousness that the Chinese nation reveres,with distinct characters,intense dramatic conflicts and a tight plot.The opera tells the story of Cheng Ying,an ordinary doctor who keeps his promise and is willing to give everything in order to save the orphans of Zhao,and finally fulfills his vow after 18 years of suffering humiliation.This opera brings people more spiritual and psychological impact,leaving people with endless shock and touch.In order to let more people understand this opera and the character of Cheng Ying,this paper starts from the plot of Chinese Orphan,analyzes the plot and the character of Cheng Ying to analyze Cheng Ying’s heart,and finally analyzes the understanding of Cheng Ying’s character and the grasp of this aria through an aria of Cheng Ying,I am unable to go forward together.In the first part,I will introduce the plot of the opera "Chinese Orphan" and the development of this opera;I will analyze Cheng Ying in terms of his position and psychological changes in the opera.In the second part,I will analyze Cheng Ying’s aria "I am powerless to walk" in detail from the aspects of music,melody,modulation and accompaniment weaving characteristics.In the third part,the treatment of resonance position and bite as well as the change of inner emotion when singing the aria "I am powerless to walk" is analyzed.The author hopes that this kind of research will complement the study of the opera Chinese Orphan,and also hopes to make more people willing to learn more about our Chinese folk opera through this article.
