Research On Online Teaching Design Of Thai Primary Chinese From The Perspective Of Multimodality

Abstract/Summary:
Online Chinese learning has gradually developed into a state comparable to traditional Chinese learning.Based on the multi-modal theory,this paper summarizes the applicability and scientificity of the application of multi-modal in online Chinese teaching based on the teaching experience of Thailand on our own online language platform(the teaching object is the students of Srisamosorn Wittaya School in Chainet Province,Thailand).The paper is written on the basis of a large number of literature reading and monograph consulting,and is divided into four parts:The first part is the first chapter of the text,which makes a layered explanation of multi-modal theories,mainly involving the selection principle and restriction factors of multi-modal,and supplementary explanation of other auxiliary teaching modes that can have an impact on teaching,such as teacher gesture,facial expression,etc.The second part is the second chapter of the text,which makes an investigation and analysis of online Chinese learning of primary Chinese in Thailand,and has a preliminary understanding of learners’ learning motivation,individual differences,learning habits,etc.It is found that there are some problems in online learning of Primary Chinese level in Thailand,such as lack of classroom interaction and effective questioning,lack of timeliness and availability of online teaching resources,and lack of online teaching skills of teachers.The third part is the third chapter of the text,which discusses several suggestions on the application of multimodal in online teaching: first,increasing comprehensible input by using real corpus;second,strengthening effective output by reducing mechanical practice;third,focusing on individual differences by both in-class and in-class evaluation.The fourth part is the fourth chapter of the text,which illustrates the outstanding advantages of multimodal application in international Chinese online teaching: prominent core content and key elements,more intuitive information arrangement and relationship construction.Based on this point of view,the teaching design of semantic field association,mind visualization,mind mapping and functional teaching for Thai elementary Chinese level is designed to demonstrate the suitability of multi-modal application in international Online Chinese teaching.
