Study On Chinese Culture Needs Of The Chinese Learners In The Confucius Institute Of Peru

The author worked as a Chinese teacher in the Confucius Institute of Santa Maria Catholic University(UCSM),Arequipa,Peru for one year.In this paper,the author would set the students as the study samples and apply the empirical research method to study their different Chinese culture needs.The author tries to introduce the Needs Analysis Theory into the culture area study of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.By using the methods of questionnaire and field interview,the author wants to get know about Chinese learners' Chinese culture acquiring channels,their cognition degree of Chinese culture,what Chinese culture they have already known or learned,what culture items they want to know and learn,what are their goals and methods in studying Chinese culture.After data analysis and research,the author got a clear picture on different Chinese culture needs of different levels' Chinese learners and other relative questions.Depends on the result of research and analysis,and take students' culture needs into account to decide different goals and contents of culture teaching for different levels of Chinese learners in the Confucius Institute of UCSM.At the same time,practical suggestions and strategies on culture teaching would also be given out.Therefore helps to enhance the effects of the culture teaching,to stimulate students' interests and motivations on the study of Chinese culture.Through this,the author hopes this study can provide effective and scientific theories and practices in culture transmission and teaching.At the same time,the author also wants this study can not only offer valuable practices and scientific guidance to the Confucius Institutes in Peru but also to all the Confucius Institutes in Latin America,and if possible,can also provide some references to the worldwide Confucius Institutes areas in the field of Chinese culture promotions and teaching.
