In the past ten years,online games have entered a stage of rapid development and have become an important part of the cultural industry and people’s social and cultural life.The epidemic that swept the world in 2020 has driven the continued strong demand for online entertainment and a substantial increase in the overseas game market.With its special functions and properties,online games have a certain development potential in cross-cultural communication,and have become a new field for Chinese traditional culture to go out.South Korea,as a traditional powerhouse in the global online game industry,has always been one of the major countries exporting Chinese online games,and online games may become the core industry for the export of traditional Chinese culture to South Korea."Moonlight Blade" is a 3D martial arts MMORPG online game independently developed by Tencent.The game was officially tested in South Korea in January 2018 and has become an industry benchmark for domestic martial arts MMORPG online games exported to South Korea.It has become a typical representative case of Chinese traditional culture spreading in South Korea based on online game media.Taking " Moonlight Blade " as an example,this paper analyzes and researches the strategy of Chinese traditional culture spreading in South Korea through online games.It is mainly divided into the following five parts:The first part expounds that in the context of the rapid development of global digital technology,online games are becoming a new cross-cultural communication medium and platform.It has an irreplaceable and unique role in the overseas dissemination of Chinese traditional culture,and it is of practical significance to introduce it into international Chinese education to promote Chinese culture.And introduce the research content and research methods of this paper,state the research status at home and abroad,and explain the key concepts.The second part analyzes the successful dissemination of Chinese traditional culture in South Korea and the current situation of the online game " Moonlight Blade ",discusses the elements of traditional Chinese culture in the game,and combines relevant online questionnaires to analyze the current " Moonlight Blade " strategies for spreading traditional Chinese culture in Korea.The third part discusses the problems and challenges faced when Chinese traditional culture spreads in Korea through the online game medium through the analysis of cases and online questionnaires.The fourth part,based on the research results of the first two chapters,puts forward a realistic strategy analysis on how to better spread Chinese traditional culture in South Korea based on the online game medium from the perspectives of national policies,international Chinese language education,and game developers,and concludes.Inferred general methodology.The fifth part summarizes the full text research,and proposes the limitations of this paper and future research directions.This paper hopes to study how to successfully spread Chinese traditional culture overseas in South Korea based on the emerging media of online games,taking " Moonlight Blade " as an example,and explore how to apply the cultural communication function of online games to international Chinese language education.In this regard,a realistic and feasible way of learning and practice is proposed.At the same time,from the perspective of cultural communication,it will provide a certain reference for Chinese online game companies that want to enter Korea in the future,and combine online games with the promotion of traditional Chinese culture,in order to open up the Korean game market in the further,thereby radiating the entire "Han cultural circle" area. |
