| Tzu Huang’s Symphonic Overture "In Memoriam" created in 1929 is his graduation work in the United States.The first performance of this music won the praise of musicians at home and abroad.This paper studies the polyphonic techniques of Tzu Huang’s In Memoriam from three parts.The first part summarizes Tzu Huang’s life and the style of his works and the music analysis of In Memoriam,which is also the basis for the in-depth study of the polyphonic techniques of In Memoriam;The second part analyzes and illustrates the techniques of contrast polyphony and imitation polyphony used in In Memoriam;The third part is the analysis of the application of polyphonic thinking in the orchestration of In Memoriam,of which the second and third parts are the key and difficult points of this paper.The conclusion part summarizes the application characteristics of polyphonic techniques in Tzu Huang’s In Memoriam and analyzes the formation of its musical style.This paper attempts to study the polyphonic technology and the application of polyphonic thinking in In Memoriam through specific and detailed analysis,and provide reference for future learning and creation. |
