Research On Yan’an Historical Drama During The Anti-Japanese War

Yan’an historical drama during the Anti-Japanese War is an important part of Yan’an historiography under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.The sources of these historical dramas include: sorted old dramas,outstanding dramas from Kuomintang controlled areas and new historical dramas wrote in Yan’an.It is mainly performed by Lu Xun Art College Department of Drama,Lu Xun Art College’s Shiyan Troupe,Yan’an Pingju Research Institute,military troupes and local troupes.Yan’an historical drama during the Anti-Japanese War followed the theme of against Japan and national salvation,called on the people to resist aggression and defend the country.At the same time,it made a new interpretation of Chinese history by using Marxist historical materialism and combining with China’s reality.By going deep into the people,learning from the people and speaking in the language of the people,the publicity has changed from "Educating People" to "Popularization".What’s more,Yan’an attaches importance to the women’s liberation movement,reportrays the female images in history in the plays,and integrates the style of Yan’an women into the shaping of heroines.Yan’an historical drama during the Anti-Japanese War had a great impact on that time and future generations.
