This paper makes an archaeological study on the tombs in the sixteen prefectures of Yanyun under the rule of the Liao Dynasty.The first chapter introduces the background and significance of the topic and makes a simple table statistics on the Liao tombs excavated in this area.The content of the second chapter is the typological research on the shape of tombs and unearthed relics in the sixteen Yanyun prefectures of Liao dynasty,and makes a typological analysis on the shape of tombs,funerary objects,tomb decoration,burial ceremonies and burial utensils.The third chapter is the zoning research in archaeology,which subdivides the sixteen prefectures of Yanyun into three small areas for systematic analysis,and summarizes and analyzes the family genus,tomb shape,funerary objects,tomb wall decoration,burial apparatus and burial utensils of tombs in each small area.The fourth chapter is the comparative study of Liao tombs in the sixteen prefectures of Yanyun and those in the surrounding areas.It includes the comparison between Liao tombs in Beijing and those in Inner Mongolia and Liaoning,the comparison between Liao tombs in Xuanhua area of Zhuolu and song tombs in central and Southern Hebei and Henan,and the comparison between Liao tombs in Datong and those in the late Tang and Five Dynasties in the same area.After the comparative study of typical tombs,it is preliminarily considered that the tombs in Yanyun area are more affected by the tomb culture of the surrounding areas in the same period.
