Study On Liaoning People’s Support For The Front And Logistic Support During The Liao-Shen Campaign

The Battle of Liao-Shen was a decisive battle between the People’s Liberation Army and the Nationalist army centred on the Jinzhou,Changchun and Shenyang areas.The victory of the Battle of Liao-Shen not only liberated the whole of the Northeast but also changed the national battlefield,supported the liberation wars in other parts of the country and shortened the time taken for the liberation of the whole country.The victory of the Liao-Shen Campaign could not have been achieved without the people’s vigorous campaign to support the front and the army’s logistical support work.Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,the people of Liaoning supported the Liao-Shen Campaign with huge human,material and financial resources and with great enthusiasm,making their important contribution to the victory of the Liao-Shen Campaign;and the powerful logistics work of the PLA during the Liao-Shen Campaign guaranteed the operational needs of hundreds of thousands of troops,safeguarding the campaign and achieving victory.The logistic supply work of the Liao-Shen Campaign was unprecedented in the history of our army.The main contents of the thesis are:The first chapter discusses the pre-battle support and logistical preparations before the Battle of Liao-Shen.The first part discusses the establishment and tasks of the pre-battle support agencies and the various measures on how to mobilize and organize and manage the pre-battle civilian workers after the establishment of the pre-battle support agencies.The second part discusses the pre-war logistics preparation work.It mainly discusses the continuous adjustment and optimization of logistic agencies to meet the needs of the strategic decisive battle and the establishment of the second-line corps to supplement the combat power before the decisive battle of Liao-Shen began.The second chapter discusses the people of Liaoning during the Liao-Shen Campaign,and the work done by the rear to solve the worries of the soldiers on the front line and to ensure the successful completion of our army’s logistical support tasks.The third chapter mainly deals with the war service work in the Liao-Shen Campaign.War service is the main way for people to support the front line.During the Liao-Shen Campaign,the people of Liaoning,under the leadership of the front-supporting agencies,actively contributed to the war service,transported the sick and wounded on stretchers and carts,collected food and materials for the front line,repaired roads and bridges,and made important contributions to the victory of the Liao-Shen Campaign.The fourth chapter deals with the logistical support of the Liao-Shen Campaign.It mainly discusses the wartime logistics deployment of the logistics command organization,and the specific implementation of wartime transportation,wartime medical security and wartime communication work.
