| The critical thought of commodity fetishism is an important theoretical thought of Marxist philosophy.After Marx,many scholars touched on this philosophical theory in various ways according to the times they lived in.However,in the history of Chinese acceptance of Western Marxism,the definition of his Marxist identity has always been ambiguous.This article holds that Benjamin is a Marxist from his critique of commodity fetishism.Benjamin believes that capitalist society is a society of commodity fetishism in the 19 th century.Besides,commodity fetishism is ubiquitous and obvious in this era.During this period,commodity fetishism penetrated into people’s social life in a fragmented and spectacle way,pulling people’s body and mind into the world of commodities,and making people immersed in such a world,and unable to extricate themselves.Benjamin tried to use a unique method,namely image dialectics,to transform the commodities and various commodity images of the capitalist society in the 19 th century into dialectical images,so as to enlighten the secular world and achieve the purpose of surpassing commodity fetishism.Fundamentally,Benjamin’s analysis of commodity fetishism and his unique critical method are all developed on the basis of Marx’s commodity fetishism.Therefore,this article will take his critical thought of commodity fetishism as the object of research,and try to show his unique interpretation of commodity fetishism and the relationship between this interpretation and Marx’s commodity fetishism and Marxist philosophy from his commodity fetishism thought,and strive to explore its inspiration to the contemporary era. |
