Abstract/Summary:
There is a kind of sentences in Chinese that express existence, this kind of sentence has it’s own pattern, and it is unique than others. Its syntactic structure is generally composed of three segments: "location+verb phrase+person or object",which is used to express "there is something in a place" and "there is something in some place with some certain way".There is also a corresponding existential sentence expression in Thai, but its subcategory sentence structure is similar to that in Chinese. Will students borrow the expression in Thai when using Chinese existential sentence, which will lead to errors in each paragraph of the sentence,or Whether it is the whole sentence that produces errors,or whether it directly avoids the use of Chinese existing sentence structure,is worthy of study.Whether it is the ontology study of existential sentence, the comparative study of Chinese-Thai existential sentence or the study of acquisition, there is a certain foundation,Therefore, this paper will investigate the specific situation of the acquisition of existential sentences by Thai learners with intermediate and advanced Chinese proficiency by means of a questionnaire, and analyze the reasons for their errors, and put forward corresponding suggestions to teaching material and teachers. This paper consists of five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly includes why I did choose this topic, the general content of previous research on this topic, and the theories and methods I use in this topic. It summarizes the research status of ontology of Chinese existential sentences, the comparative research status of Chinese and Thai existential sentences, the status of acquisition and teaching research, and explained the necessity of this paper. The second chapter is the survey and analysis of Thai students’ questionnaire. The questionnaire is designed on the basis of selecting some existential sentence patterns, and the error data is sorted out through the questionnaire survey, and the survey results are analyzed. The third chapter is the misclassification and cause analysis of the interlanguage produced by Thai students when they acquire existential sentences.According to the collection of corpus, the errors generated by students are divided into four categories: omission, wrong substitution, wrong addition and wrong order.Described, explained, and analyzed causes of them. The fourth chapter is teaching suggestions.According to the results of the error analysis, the author also puts forward targeted suggestions for teaching materials and teachers. At the end of the article, the last chapter is the conclusion, which summarizes the content of the full text and points out the inadequacies of this paper, hoping to make some supplements for Thai students to study the errors caused by existing sentences,as well as for teaching materials and teachers.
