As one of the permanent members of the United Nations,Russia has political privilege while also possessing the deterrent power of the military power. It still has a strong influence in the international community.Since the disintegration of the Soviet Union,Russia’s foreign policy has gradually shifted from the beginning to the west’s "one-sided" diplomacy to a balanced"double-headed eagle" all-round diplomacy between the East and the West and has roughly defined the general direction of its foreign policy. As the world’s political and economic center of gravity continues to shift to Asia,Russia’s ultimate goal is to realize its world’s status as a big country.Russia pays more attention to and is committed to actively participating in the Asian regional integration process, and takes advantage of the opportunities it brings. To promote the development and development of Siberia and the Far East,Russia’s "eastward strategy" continues to develop. The geographical location of the Korean peninsula has directly led to its inclusion in the encirclement of the interests of the United States,Japan, and other major countries. It has naturally become a hot spot for the conflicts of interests of major countries in Northeast Asia.Naturally,it plays an important role in today’s international relations and has received extensive attention from the international community.Since the end of the Cold War,the split situation on the Korean Peninsula has not changed. The situation in the peninsula has been tense and sometimes moderated.Although the situation on the peninsula has eased somewhat recently, the reasons for the crisis exist and we must take precautions. The tensions on the peninsula, which are sometimes strained and sometimes strained, are manifold. One is the impact of the legacy of the cold war.The other is the influence of the American factor and the impact of the survival issues between the two countries of the peninsula on the peninsula..The actions of either side will cause heavy waves, and North Korea will be a nuclear-armed country.Although North Korea has begun to focus on economic development and the goal of developing nuclear weapons has been completed, the nuclear issue still exists and the regional situation remains unstable.Although North Korea’s development of nuclear weapons and the conflict between North Korea and the DPRK have eased, the situation in the peninsula is unpredictable and inconclusive. This is still an important factor that makes the Korean peninsula an important factor affecting the stability of the Asia Pacific region and influencing Russia’s development strategy. After Putin took power in 2000,he made great adjustments in the peninsula policy. In the relations with the two peninsulas,he was not too biased in favor of South Korea and began to strengthen the restoration of relations with North Korea. As a result,Russian-North Korean relations began to improve. The direction of development. After the Ukrainian crisis occurred,Western sanctions against Russia became more and more serious, and the relationship between Russia and the West was in crisis. In this state,Russia is bound to make a more active turn to the East and develop its eastward strategy. This will also increase the temperature of relations between Russia and North Korea. The more important aspect also comes from the location of North Korea. It is the path through which Russia develops cooperation with South Korea.North Korea is a bridge to build cooperation between Russia and South Korea.North Korea also appears to Russia to be able to balance China’s economic influence on the eastern side of Russia. In the face of new changes and new situations, this article starts with Russia’s "eastward strategy" and focuses on analysing its policy on the Korean peninsula,as well as new issues and challenges it faces,in order to clarify Russia’s peninsula policy and evaluate its policy direction. It also provided countermeasures to formulate a peninsula policy for China and judge the surrounding powers to provide a basis for the DPRK’s influence and policy direction. It is precisely because of this that it is extremely important to study Russia’s policy toward the Korean Peninsula and its future direction.
