From the perspective of the "Intermediate Zone" theory, the Korean Peninsula is a power-depressed area in the middle of the international geopolitical structure that contend between big powers or big power groups.Since the modern times, the Korean Peninsula has experienced three-wave "Intermediatezonization" under the influence of great powers. After the Korean Peninsula was invaded by Japanese, which experienced the first wave of "Intermediatezonization" and formed a regional "Intermediate Zone".During the Cold War,the United States and the Soviet Union struggled for hegemony in the Korean Peninsula. The Korean Peninsula experienced the second wave of“Intermediatezonization” and formed a “Intermediate Zone” of global significance. After the Cold War,the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea are still trying to separate themselves from the “Intermediate Zone” dilemma by their own methods. However, the Korean Peninsula has increasingly immersed in the third wave of deep-seated "Intermediatezonization" quagmire. Therefore,to solve the dilemma of the "Intermediate Zone" of the Korean Peninsula, firstly,it is necessary to make clear that the crux of the problem lies in the fact that the DPRK and the ROK as regional small countries have great differences in the role of international politics with the United States,China,Russia, and other global powers.Secondly,it is essential to move from the two levels of the "Intermediate Zones" of the DPRK and the ROK and the globle powers of the United States,China,Russia, and other great powers to accurately seek the feasible methods, and then we have to fully cooperate to break the dilemma..
